Help with gift for DH

Ok, in May is my husbands 50th. And I'm so at a loss for what to get him, it's kind of a big deal.

Plus, our 2 year anniversary is a week later.

He loves the Raiders, I thought of getting a jersey I bought him for Xmas custom framed.

Everything he wants he buys for himself. He's a brat!

  • My husband is a sports nut and I've found great signed sports stuff on eBay. I've found jerseys and helmets. Maybe you could find something signed by a favorite player?

Yeah I did that for Xmas a few years ago, he has yet to have it framed. He was going to do it himself...HA!

So, I guess my thinking is on the right  track. Thanks LHT!

  • Do you want just a physical gift or is a trip in the budget?

<div>If it is, I'd probably see if I could find decent tickets to one of his team's games or something? 50 is a pretty big deal!</div>
  • Does he golf?  What about a tee time for him and 3 buddies at one of the fancy golf courses?

I love ya both, but Raiders tickets arent on sale, plus CA is kind of expensive.

No, I have no money and with the pup coming next week we arent going anywhere for awhile.

Any- I love your new picture, please post more. BTW- I told Steve the moat cat girl got married and he wondered if you have to leave your castle now...he's weird.

  • Does he have a Harley?  I know around here, at the Harley dealerships you can rent them for the day or weekend.  If he knows how to ride, maybe rent him one and do a day trip somewhere?

I know football tickets aren't on sale yet but I wonder if you could see if the raiders are playing in Ohio? You could make a little print out that looks like tickets? Edit: I googled and they are playing in cincinnati. I don't know how far that is from you. Maybe you could get two tickets and he could take a friend.

  • When my brother turned 50 I bought him a day at the Mario Andretti driving school.  He got to spend the day in either a NASCAR or open-wheeled IRL car at the location of his choice (Los Angeles or Vegas).  I got it at a discount through Costo.com.  He loved it.

What about a regular gift and going all out for a really lavish dinner, something you cook or get a caterer into the house to serve you there?

I like the custom framing idea.  My step mom actually did that for my dad for his signed hockey jersey.

She got it from one of the Amish shops near town (seriously, best wood working ever.)  It's not just a frame either, it's like a huge shadow box? It has an all glass front and the jersey actually stays on a hanger in it, but it opens so he can still take out the jersey and wear it or whatever
