It's hard for me to believe that real life Lexie has 3 kids. She might be my favorite because her real life seems so down to earth.

I agree Addison could def be alone, but I think Jake and Addison would make a cute little family Sam had a bazillion chances with her, and was not supportive at all when she was going through fertility treatments, adoption, etc. She better not choose him.

I'm scared for Derek. I have this sinking feeling it will be him and then Meredith will become all dark and twisty again.

If it's Lexi I will cry. That wouldn't even be fair! It would be a Shonda type move though for sure.

I hope Shonda sticks to that! I don't think the show would be the same if they were to kill off Derek, because he is such an influential character..

When I first heard they were killing someone off, my initial reaction was April. Girl on the downside of her life, drinking too much...gets in a car, you know.

When I read in entertainment weekly that it was going to be a "beloved" character, that's when my mind turned to Derek.

I don't know, after reading everyone's posts I think it could be anyone at this point. The anticipation is killing me!

I really really hope Shonda doesn't kill off Derek. He has said that he wants to focus more on racing. I don't think Meredith will get all dark and twisty IF Derek dies...she has Zola. But I bet Christina and Meredith would stay at Seattle. I just think Grey's fans will be up in arms if Derek does die, as a couple they have been through enough!

I just have to laugh when people freak out about the possibility of Derek dying.  Derek is not going to die.  He would be the last person to die.  Shonda would basically want to kill the entire show if she was going to kill of Derek.  Derek might be in rough shape and end up kinda dark and twisty for a while after this season but there is no way he's going anywhere.

So I'm late to the game, but I'm not so sure that Derek can't die. IRL he's big into his racing career and has talked multiple times about giving up the show to make time for his racing. The "contract" for next season doesn't sell me on it either because George supposedly had a contract for the following season when they killed him, and it was leaked that his contract was done to throw people off. 

As far as PP, I hope Addison ends up a single old maid. I can't stand her, she's a dirty whoreface. I'm starting to hate that show. The only people that I actually like are Sheldon and Charolette.

They seem to really focus more so on other characters now than Derek/Meredith's story, so you never know..

As for PP, I have two weeks now to catch up on (I suck), but I can't stand Addison. She makes me want to throw my TV out the window, but I can't help but watch it. Train wreck.

Agreed. I give Shonda a lot more creative credit than that though, I don't think that storyline will play out again.

I don't know, theres similarities between the two shows.... Mer / Der adopted Addison adopted They could do an internal injuries death on Grey's. I don't think its impossible. But I read.somewhere Mark is safe. Im not sure if I think its Lexie anymore, all the internet seems to think it will be. Maybe her life will be in the jeopardy? And what could possibly happen to have anyone not in plane crash die aside from April??

OH! Maybe it IS the Cheif- Jesse Williams said it's someone he works a lot with. He tends to have a TON of scenes with Mark, April, the Chief and Lexie.

I'm also starting to think about Teddy. They've really spent more time on her character this season so we've gotten to "know" her more. And if she dies, Owen could offer Yang the top dog spot in cardio and that would keep her in Seattle. DAMN IT I NEED TO STOP THINKING ABOUT THIS

I always assumed when Meredith leaves, Lexie will be the center of the show. It's fairly clear that Ellen Pompeo will eventually go. LEXIE CANNOT DIE.
