I had a busy day and now all I want to do is sleep.

Tommorrow I'm going to lay out and then go get the G2G tickets...and then maybe having some people over to watch football.

Tomorrow is my family wedding shower and I am excited about that, but being in an argument with the FI has put a damper on things. I don't know why guys are such butt heads sometimes.

Sorry you had an argument with your FI, Brittany. :(  Guys are buttheads sometimes...you are definitely right about that.  But yay for your wedding shower tomorrow...how exciting!

I have been spending most of the day being a completely lazya$$.  I have so much to do but far too tired to do any of it.  Not sure whats wrong.

I DO have a question for you ladies though.  I think I've asked/mentioned it a long time ago, but does anyone on here get their brows threaded?  Our e-pics are on 10/25 and I know I need to get my eyebrows shaped but I'm a chicken.  My pain tolerance is a -5, especially on my face...it's pathetic.  I am ashamed to admit this, but I've never even plucked my eyebrows because it hurts so bad.  I just keep them trimmed even though I know it doesn't look the best and just try to forget about it.  I am freaking out because I have heard how badly threading hurts, but waxing isn't really an option for me because I have such sensitive skin that I know I will react to the wax.  The only things I can think of that might help this experience are Orajel and Xanax LOL.

My eyebrow area doesn't break out as much as my chin and lip do when it comes to waxing.  I get a pretty serious breakout in the other two areas but never in my eyebrow.  And, to me, it hurts less on my eyebrows than the other spots.  I have a friend who did the threading and she liked it but, after doing some reading, it seemed to sound the same to me on the pain thing.  Also, my eyebrows are very light compared to my natural hair color and I just have them do the bottom.  Last thing:  they've never had to pluck my eyebrows for those that are missed but, when they do it on the chin, I hate it and I wince.

Can I make a suggestion?  You're still six weeks away from your pics.  Maybe get your eyebrows waxed once and a nicer establishment and see how you tolerate it and then try the threading once too and see which one you like better.

I would want to try waxing over threading any day so ideally this is what I would do, but the reaction thing really worries me.  I have pretty bad eczema, and I do have some areas that I have had for upwards of 3-4 weeks not and they have still not gone away because I scratch them in my sleep.  I'm afraid that even 6 weeks out, if I have a reaction to it, it may not be enough time for it to subside.

With waxing, they still have to tweeze the "inside" of the brows, right?  Yes, I feel ridiculous for having to ask this.

They've only pulled out the tweezers if they missed something after the waxing.  If you tell them that you have eczema, they can put something on there after to help.  Also, I always have on hand some Aveeno clear skin moisturizer.  I'm too lazy to get up and look at it right now but I've had pretty good success with that helping any time I get a pimple.  In fact, I used it just last night because the tip of my nose was hurting, with a pimple just under the skin and now, nothing!

Clinique has a really great moisturizer.  It's got for Upset Skin in the title.  I used it when I had a really bad sunburn on my face and it was amazing.  They also have some stuff now for redness that you might want to consider.

Do you go to a dermatologist for your eczema?  The only reason I ask is they may be able to give you some more insight on the whole idea of you waxing.  I have a little shaving tool myself that I use more often than not.  I don't like the look as much as after waxing but I took a pay cut for this school year so I have to cut somewhere.  I'll do it for some special occasions but not as frequently as before.  And, just because I've had bad experiences with them on this, do not go to the Coldwater Creek Spa in Southlake for a wax.  I have been there three times and all three times the person was extremely late coming to get me from the waiting area.  The last time, I walked out after twenty minutes.  I was told before I left that so and so (whom I didn't know) showed up late.  I didn't really understand why that was my problem.  Sorry for the mini-rant, but I hated paying that much money for a bad experience.

FI and I went down to Waco yesterday to hand deliver a few invitations to people whose save-the-dates got returned to sender, and I just watched ten wild turkeys wander across my FILs property.  It was awesome.  =)

Good News: I found a headboard.
Bads News: The B from CL sold it when I was on my way there. She wouldn't hold it for me. "First Come, First Served"....Seriously!

I had spent all morning emailing this lady back and worth. She said no one else could picked up until 6. I was on my way out the door at 1...I'm still pissed.

I went shopping at Micheal's today. I found some flowers that I had been looking for sometime. I was thrilled but bummed they weren't on sale so I just picked up one in each color. When she was checking me out I realized they were ringing up .01  each....I rand back and grabbed every package I could find!

MLandCJ:  That just SUCKS about the headboard.  I'm so sorry the seller on CL did that...ridiculous.  Sounds like she played a few of you to make sure someone would make a rash decision and just come get it instead of having time to think about it. "Well, you said you can't pick it up until 6pm but I have another lady who is going to leave right now to come get it...first come, first serve!"  Boo.  Great deal on the flowers, though!  A penny each?!  How can you beat that?

Crash -- poor Copper. :(  When we are finally able to get a dog, FI will have to be the one to take it to the vet for shots and such.  I don't think I could do it!

Angelsong, you got great advice already from Julie, but I'll give you my two cents, for whatever it's worth. I got my first eyebrow wax just a few days before my wedding ... other people talked me into it and I wasn't thinking. Thank goodness the redness went away by that night or I'd have been kicking myself!

I also have eczema but have never had it on my face. (I second Julie's suggestion if you haven't gone to a derm or even a regular doctor; I get Rx steriod cream for any flare-ups and, depending on the strength of the cream, it zaps it in 2-4 days. So amazing compared to trying to treat it with OTC creams/lotions/potions. But the creams I have specifically say they shouldn't be used on the face, so you'd have to ask your doc if there IS anything that can be used on the face.)

I'm pretty sure there are places you can go and have them just pluck your eyebrows. If they don't use any creams or anything, just pluck, then I wouldn't think that would cause any eczema reaction, and be less painful than threading. I've read in random places that you can take just a dose of OTC pain medicine before a waxing/laser hair removal appointment to lessen the pain, so I would think the same would apply to threading/plucking.

And I think you asked somewhere ... they don't pluck strays when they wax the brows. They just dab the wax every which way until they've gotten everything. At least, in my limited experience. :)

On my pain scale, plucking doesn't hurt at all. Waxing hurt a bit, then stung, then was a little weird-feeling for a few hours. I don't plan to do it again, not because it hurt that bad, but because I didn't see any benefit over plucking myself whenever I think it needs it.
