Snarky Brides

Decisions I still have to make:

1. Consumption bar or package bar?  A package bar with beer, wine and cocktails (and soda and water) would be $33 per person for five hours... but there are several non-drinkers in our small crowd, so it may be more cost effective to go with the hosted consumption bar, with drinks ranging from $4 for a domestic beer to $8.50 for a premium brand cocktail.  Even if everyone were drinking Grey Goose martinis all night, each guest would have to 3.9 drinks to make a consumption bar costlier than package bar.  Logic tells me to go with the consumption bar, but I really like the "pay once and forget about it" quality of a package bar.  Oh, and champagne for the toast is included either way.

3. I FINALLY made a cake decision -- white almond infusion with almond cream cheese and chocolate kahlua infusion with coconut cream -- but now the baker wants to know: which flavor on which layer?  (Yes, this simple question sent me into a stammering state of near panic.)

2. Groom's cake?  Y/N?  And, if yes, am I brave enough to attempt to make a Portal cake (clearly, not a lie!) myself instead of trying to get a last minute order into my baker?

Pi. I still don't have a first dance song. :S

42. I can have the photographers from 2 - 9, in which case we'd have more time for getting ready and pre-wedding pictures (we are doing a first look), or from 3 - 10, in which case we'd have less time for those but could hypothetically have some exit shots.  But with all of 40 people in attendance, do I really need an "grand exit"?  I imagine it'll be pretty low key, with people leaving together rather than us rushing out amidst sparklers and cheering, etc.  (Although my DJ is bringing sparklers, just in case.)

5. If my brother does show up after all, would it be better to kill him before the ceremony (and risk getting blood on my dress) or after (and suffer through him in family pictures)?
