Ha! I'm definitely no god.
The short of it is, all these "new" people used to be the regs on this board, they were here for quite some time and they are the original "snarky brides".
When TK had the great switch over  last fall it had so many errors and went sooo slow that they decided to move over to the Caribbean board on The Nest because it was at least going normal speed.

Ok, so that wasn't so short.

Oh, and then this place went to hell. It was a bunch of crazy people validating eachothers bad ideas then everyone else kind of moved in.

AH!  I now recall hearing some of this on E.  I feel much better now.  At first I thought it was some strange knot error and I was being taken to a different board.  Thanks!

You guys should stumble in on Mondays. That's when TK newsletter goes out and therefore when the "totally snarky" newbs stumble in.

Is this some bizarre US childhood toy to which I'm not privy (I'm thinking: one of those thing which you use to catch grasshoppers)? or something more awesome?

Trapper Keepers were these really cool binders that everyone had in the 80s. I had one, and never heard it referred to as TK. Apparently there are some people that believe that TK can only refer to Trapper Keepers. Those same people need to relax a bit.

I did have a kickass Trapper Keeper back in the day though. There were some purty unicorns on there, and lots of glitter stickers.

Thanks Allisong... I am guessing there are a subset of people that referred to trapper keepers as TK then? 

 

The TK's never made it over here, evidently... thus, I reserve my right to refer to the knot as TK without conflict!

They used to have velcro holding the front flap to the front cover. In classrooms all over America, all you would hear was the RRRIIIPP of velcro being torn apart everytime they were opened.
