Tuesday morning?

Is TK going to work this morning? My thread better not disppear.

I need to brag. I got the best night of sleep last night. I think it's the first time in months that I slept basically through the night. I feel way better after this weekend of crappy sleep.  The only reason I woke up as early as I did (4:30) is the damn woodpecker on/in our house.

Now I just need to go grocery shopping so H and I can stop eating junk food (i.e. whatever is left in the house.)

• Morning,

Congrats on the good night's sleep.

We had a big storm last night, the thunder woke me up and that NEVER happens.  H says a tree was struck by lightning near here, he could see it out the window.

I'm now cooking Emma's meals (chicken and rice), and she's taking meds to help her feel better.  I'm working from home today so she doesn't have to be stuck in her crate all day sick.  Hopefully she'll be herself again soon.

I had tons of dreams lastnight and I woke up a bunch of times thinking it would be 6 am but it never was (first time at 1:30 after a full dream, then at 3, then again at 4:30, then when my alarm went off). Strangely enough, it was a really good sleep, other than the weird tiny nightmare I had. I dont even know if it can be classified as a nightmare but it was still scary.

Anyways. Today is day 2 of the best freaking week ever. My boss announced yesterday that since his trip out west went so well last week we are all getting a pretty hefty bonus, just cause. So that was pretty sweet. Today should be pretty mundane though, all I have other than work is to go get my pants for this weekend hemmed. theyre like 1 annoying inch too long with my heels on. Lookin forward to tomorrow!
• aww Pirate.  Sorry she's not feel well. Any idea what she got into?

Congrats, Nebb!! That's awesome about the raise.
• Congrats, Nebb!  Surprise cash is always nice.

Not sure, Steph.  But we think she might have eaten rabbit poop or something like that.  We have a few rabbits in the yard.  The vet said if she wasn't getting worse, and she was willing to eat/drink/play to give her a few days with the new diet and see if she settled down.
• The morning thread on E already disappeared. Figures.

I went to bed relatively early last night so I feel rested. I started reading Insurgent and didn't want to put it down. This morning I mailed in my registration for an event in October and already I'm excited. I'm also struggling with the same feeling of guilt and sadness as last year but I need to get over it (it's the event that I'd done sidewalk painting at for the past 11 years and now I'm having to break that tradition). I don't know why it bothers me so much.

Good morning! I slept really well last night, too, even though I didn't actually fall asleep till around midnight and woke up at 5am. I even got a good run/workout in, which really put me in a good mood. In fact, the last .10mi, I had a big smile on my face. I have a bit of soreness in my right quadriceps, which has been a chronic pain ever since my half-marathon in February, so if it persists much longer, I'm going to have it checked out.

Tonight is taco Tuesday, plus we're returning the dogs to their owner, so it's looking like a pretty darn good day ahead! Cool
Congrats Nebb and Steph! I'm in a really good mood today for no reason.  I also need to go grocery shopping today. We have nothing left in the house, <strong>not even junk food</strong>.  Just odds and ends that don't make good snacks/meals.

Thats the worst when that happens, and you dont even have that to fall back on.
• I had a dream that some guy tried to blow me up with hot dog bombs. I had to swim across a river to escape. It was close. Hooray for the bonus Nebb! We got back from MI at like 11:15 last night. It was a very busy weekend shower, hair and make up trial and first dress fitting. We are officially 1 month and a day out.

• I had a dream that Ted from HIMYM and I were in love, I guess because we watched the finale last night. It was odd.

I need to make tacos. I make really good ones with ground beef, salsa, and black beans. And something else, but I can't remember. And now I'm hungry.

My weird dream was that I was looking out the front window and I saw a guy with a dog walk up our front steps and take this big bag of bird seed we kept in a box attached to the fence and I yelled at him but he couldnt hear me so I ran out the front door to shout at him and all of a sudden there were 2 guys across the street with a sniper gun shouting "STOP HIM! CALL THE COPS!", at first it looked like they were pointing the gun at me and the bird seed guy, but then I noticed they were pointing it at the roof and they must have shot it because a dude fell off the roof and smashed down on the ground.
• nebb - grats on the bonus and good luck tomorrow. I really think that doc will be so much more helpful

I'm in a pretty great mood today. FH is off so he is going to clean the house, do my laundry, and go pick up a package for me at the post office.

• Morning!
I got a decent night's sleep as well, and I needed it.

I used to love grocery shopping when it was just me. Now, it just seems like a completely hideous chore. I did get a few meals planned for us though so it won't just be scrambling around to find something to eat.

Pirate I hope your puppy feels better! That's the worst. :( We used to put a little plain yogurt in with Jett's rice and chicken meal, too, but I don't remember who told us to do that.

Woot, to all of this.
• We were thinking of adding plain yogurt to her diet, for the good bacteria.
• Hey all,

I haven't really been here between being super busy and dealing with some minor health issues.  My stomach has been so painful for a week and a half.  I had bloodwork and and ultrasound done and I'm waiting to hear on the ultrasound.  I can't wait for them to tell me everything is normal and essentially that it's in my head.  I really don't want to see a specialist but at this point I think I'm going to have to.
• Oh no, lbarr, I hope things get better! :(

• Our garden has looked pretty sad lately. We've had major droughts and haven't been watering, so it's mostly our fault. But we had a huge storm last night so it definitely got soaked.

So, management started this contest at work to motivate people to do OT. For every hour of OT you have your name entered to win a bunch of prizes. I don't really care because 90% of the time, they take my name out of the drawing anyway so I rarely have a chance to win. Well, they've pushed the contest results back by almost 3 weeks now and keep saying you now have "more chances to win!" And they just did it again.

I have a feeling we will never see the endof this contest. it's just one more crap promo being used to "motivate" us.
• I'm sure it'll be fine it's not like horrible doubled-over pain 24/7 thank God.  More like after eating and stuff but so far everything has been normal.  Maybe if I go to a specialist they would actually know what they are talking about and maybe not think I'm off my rocker ;)
• Im sitting in the waiting room right now and there are 3 kids here. You are a special kind of asshole bringing your child to a fertility clinic.

Why do they take your name out, sesh? Why you specifically?

Because a lot of the contests are based on production. I'm the top producer so I'd always win if that was the case, so they ask me to "graciously step down" to give the rest of the team a chance. Theother CWs have made snarky comments about 'what's the point, sesh will win anyway so why bother trying.'

This contest is based on OT plus whether or not you meet production demands, so they've probably already removed my name. Not many people here are meeting production demands anyway.
Pirate, I hope Emma feels better soon :-(  Is she still throwing up or just lethargic?  Is she going to the bathroom ok?  Drinking plenty of water?
Posted by jcbsjr
<div>She's eating/drinking fine, and she's not really lethargic, just a little more tired than normal because she doesn't sleep well when she's a mess.  She's willing to run around and play.  She's just had (practically) uncontrollable diarrhea since Sunday morning. (Sorry for that info this early in the morning)  :(   She's had 4 baths and we've cleaned the carpets 3 times since Sunday.  </div><div>
</div><div>I'm trying really hard to keep water out of her ears.  Between the baths, and the solid rain we've had, she hasn't really dried out since Sunday morning.  I don't want her to get an ear infection on top of stomach issues.  If she has to go on antibiotics I know we'll be right back here again.  </div>
• Morning all.  I'm officially able to breathe.  This makes me happy on several levels.  I've got a class tonight as a refresher for diving, so I was really hoping I'd be able to breathe and do it.  Looks like it's a go.  I'm supposed to meet with a new financial advisor this morning. He's managing our 401k plan at work.  We had a 7 page questionnaire to fill out. They want to know our credit card debt.. Um, it's NUNYA!  And, I kind of forgot it was today so I had to guestimate at some of my answers.  If I like the guy, I'll set up another appointment with him and give him all the info he needs.

Just need to make it through today, going to work only a half day tomorrow, and run around downtown with DJ.  Really looking forward to it!

Blue has a ticker!!  Wahoo, love it.

Yesterday was my first day home alone with Owen, and it went pretty well.  He fussed just enough that I didn't get a chance to nap, but we did go out and get a swing last night, so hopefully that will help today.  Also, my mom is coming up at lunch, so I should actually get a chance to shower!

Here's a picture of my little man.  I'd meant to take it at 1 week excatly, but Sunday was a bit of a fuster cluck, so we did it yesterday.  Whatevs.  He's got such a grumpy face on all the time, it's adorable.

• Bk, I always tell FI that I once we are married I want to go to a financial advisor.  My parents never really had major issues but they went to one anyway and they have been able to do things to the house, pay for part of my college, etc. that I doubt they would have been successful at if they didn't see that guy.  Here's my really stupid question:  How are they paid?  Per visit?  Per a certain percentage off of something?
