Teen Mom

I was looking for our usual Wednesday morning post and I didn't see one so I'll start it.  What did you ladies think about it?

Farrah - I'm so frustrated with her.  She wants her mom to treat her like any other renter but wants special treatment.  Anyone else would need to pay application fees and early move in fees.  You can't have your cake and eat it too.

Maci- I think she made a huge mistake by moving to Nashville.  Without Kyle she's alone.

Catelynn- I'm so glad they got to see Carly doing so well.  I'll admit I teared up a bit.

Amber- Where to start.  I mean her new bf doesn't seem like a bad guy but he was in jail!.  I can see why Gary was pissed about him living there so soon and about him changing Leah.  If this went to court he'd win.  But did anyone notice Amber's house was actually clean!

Re: Teen Mom

  • I actually think Maci needed to move to Nashville, Kyle or not. I think she can handle it, and she needs to learn to live as a single parent, because she can't live with her parents forever. Her mistake with Kyle was that she didn't work or go to school in the summer, so she overwhelmed him with neediness. I'm pretty sure if she was working and going to classes she would have been entirely fine with staying in with him instead of going out.

I noticed that Amber's living room was clean, but her kitchen was a mess. It seemed like a metaphor for her life. She tries so hard to make it look like she's a good parent, but she's really a mess. And really, letting some strange guy (a couple of weeks means nothing to me) change and dress your kid (boy OR girl) while you sit back on the couch gossiping with your friends just REEKS of laziness. Also, he's doing or selling drugs and she's too blind to see it. "Oh, I could see myself marrying you. Can I use your car real quick?" What the Eff ever! User!

I'm proud of C&T doing so well with Carly. They really handled it well, and I see them finally getting some closure. I can't wait to see what Dr. Drew has to say to her mom, though.

Farrah- She gets on my nerves. Did you notice that in the ending montage, the hairdresser guy looked just like Sophia's dad's graduation picture, except a little more gay?

  • I feel bad for Maci that it didn't work out with Kyle. She seems desperate though, I think she'd run back to Ryan if he asked her....

Amber is so lazy, I think she spends all her time working out because she's lost considerable weight and now thinks she's too good for Gary. I think her bf Chris is just using her..............

Farah, aw, I think Julian was cute but 1st impression was that he's gay, he didn't seem into her. I do think she needs to start dating and learn to shut her mouth, she's so awful to her parents.

Catelyn, I am undecided on the situation. I can understand her mom's point of view but I can also see Carly has good adoptive parents....

I can't wait to see them talk to Dr. Drew soon !
  • I thought Farrah's mom was totally fair to her, and that Farrah acted like a brat.
I'm not sure if Maci should stay ior move back.  I feel like if she moves back she at least has her support system.
C&T are awesome...I know that eventually they won't be together, but i think it's cool that they have worked through the open adoption and know they gave their daughter a better life.  Seeing how much the baby was like them though was a little sad, and I felt for them.
Amber? Sigh.  Honestly, the new guy sounded a little more mature.  Maybe jail does that to you, but even in talking to Gary he sounded so calm.  My guess is that soon enough Gary's family will try to take legal custody of Leah, which probably isn't a bad thing.
  • I really don't think Carly could be any cuter. I think it's awesome that Catelynn and Tyler got to see how well she's doing and to see her in person. I definitely shed a few tears, especially when they gave her the book where their voices were the ones reading to her.

I think Farrah really is trying but it's almost a case of "one step forward, two steps back" with her. I think her moving into her moms rent house was a bad idea, but they did sit down and seem to talk it out and get it resolved. One step forward...?

Dude...I almost suffocated from the gasp when Ryan asked Maci if they should be together. I'm glad that she's decided to stay in Nashville even though her and Kyle didn't work out (but they are together right now, I think. Seems like I read that somewhere). I'm also glad she was the bigger person and put her feelings/thoughts aside and gave Ryan the extra day. It really is about what's best for Bentley, not what she wants.

I still hate Amber and Gary. I also hate the mushy-gushy way Chris talks to Amber. Makes me wanna puke.

  • Maci - I feel kind of bad for her.  She made a decision to move to Nashville based on a man (boy).  Definitely showed that she is still a "teen" mom. (I have to keep reminding myself when they do really dumb things they are still so young and immature.)  Hopefully though this will help her to grow up and not rely on her parents so much.  Though she and Bentley are fortunate to have them there when she needs them.

Farrah - I flip flop on feel bad for/being annoyed by Farrah.  She seem to be working hard and tyring to be a good mother, plus she is greiving a big loss.  BUT she does seem to expect a lot.  (Mom babysitting frequently, painting guest house, etc...) Though I was a little thrown off by her mom charging her pro-rated rent...this is probably bc I KNOW my mom would not make me do that.  Does anyone else ever notice that though she claims she is so broke she always has on really nice clothes???

Catelynn - I am so happy that she and Tyler got to see Carly.  I think of all of the girls she is the most mature.  They made a decision that was not only the best for them but such a good decision for Carly.  The more they show their households (except for Tylers mother) the more I realize is was such a good choice not to bring a child into that.

Amber - Where the hell do I even start?  I hate to say this about a teenager, but she is trash.  I used to think it was Gary, but after the last few shows she has really shown her true colors.  The house is always dirty and she never seems to be tending to Leah.  And the show when she put her in that dirty ass crib???  She has taken the cake with the last show though.  To move in ANYONE after 3 weeks, let alone someone right out of jail with NO job is insane.  And to let any stranger (bc thats what he is) change and dress your child is SO irresponsible.  Gary was 100% correct.  And what is up with her beating on him all the time???  She needs help, in more ways than one!
  • I cried... I hate to admit it, but the scene with C & T handing over the book to Theresa for Carly turned me into a blubbering mess. Thankfully my boyfriend called (away on business) and I had to stop, otherwise I'm pretty sure I would have kept crying. I did confess that I was watching it and it made me cry. He laughed at me just as I thought he would and then proceeded to ask about Gary and Amber haha. I was happy to report that she hit him yet again.

I cannot believe ----- oh wait yes I can, that she would let that creep take her car, change and dress her daughter! What the hell is she thinking. She made my eyes bleed while she was 'working out'. Was that zumba she was attempting? It was an overall train wreck that I had to keep watching.

Maci - I love her and Beeeentley. (I chuckle every time she says his name. It's so cute). I'm so pissed that I missed the scene where Ryan asked her if they should be together. Damn boyfriend calling me to check in. I'll have to watch that part tonight on MTV.com.

Farrah - all I can say is... I'm glad she didn't cry in this episode and if she did by chance, I'm glad I missed it. I air punch her and the TV every time she cries. It makes me so mad. That is the ugliest cry face I have ever seen.
  • Have they mentioned that Farrah's new "boyfriend" was in jail for murder and was let out because it was deemed self defense?

I don't watch the show, I just read the tabloids. Plus, she's from this area, and a month or so ago, her baby's father's accident was the "most read" news story on the local channel, even though it was a year or so ago.

  • Yep - and they met on Twitter when he scolded her parenting skills (she smacked the baby?).

    Tony's his name, right?

  • When did Farrah smack Sophia?  I must have missed that......
  • IDK - I don't watch it. Let me see if I can find a link to the original article I read.

    Here's one about Farrah's mom:

Maybe it wasn't that she slapped the baby. He was just criticizing her parenting skills on Twitter.
