cfilbelkorn - you guys are going to have so much fun!! I had never been unitl about 3 years ago.  Such a blast.Totally brings out your inner kid and you want to be a princess immediately!  My only bad experience was getting stuck on the It's A Small World ride for about 45 minutes.  Was about to shoot myself!

I haven't gotten into Glee since I've been soooooo focused on Lost.  I'm going to have to go to Lostaholics when it ends soon.  Sooooo good.

I thought "Glee" was great too and I can't wait until the Madonna episode next week!

After reading through all of the responses on another post, I think that one of the brides is making a huge mistake when it comes to one facet of her wedding (not the original poster).  It sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.

Total dork alert - I love love love Vampire Diaries... anyone else?

And the weird thing is, I'm totally not into Twilight or anything vampire normally!

I have been so focused and excited about getting everything ready and all the events over several weeks that I keep forgetting we get to go on an amazing honeymoon trip.  Gah, what a bonus!!

    Julie - ditto.

short - YES!!  Plus, I realized that he was in another favorite show of mine (briefly)... Army Wives!
  • edited December 2011
bsn- I didn't realize he was on Army Wives.  I had a HUGE crush on him when I was younger, starting when he was on Guiding Light.  I even watched that wolf show he was in that didn't last long.

You know the boy that Emmalynn almost ran off with?  The one that was older than her and caused all the trouble with her and her family?? That was him!!!

I know I don't post much, but I need to vent!

I had major wedding drama this morning. My venue was supposed to book my videographer on my behalf (they have a minimum, and booking vendors is one way to meet it). So I went ahead and emailed the videographer that they told me they booked with a logistics question. The response I got was "Um.. I'm sorry, I don't know who this is." At this point I'm thinking I don't have a videographer... turns out they contracted someone else (I figured out who it was myself, they haven't answered my email yet).

All's well that end's well.. but I really didn't need any unnecessary stress

No kidding.  If you have too many guests just cut down on the list.  Dont make it a stressful lottery to get in to your wedding.  How will they know the important people made it on to the list, like family members and close friends who couldnt be in your WP?

    Mariah,
One of the posters on the question about seating charts said that she is inviting 400 but only the first 250 who respond to her website will be able to come to the wedding.
  • edited December 2011
Mariah- check out the table assignment post... about the 6th post or so.
  • edited December 2011
If you want to know why, just simply ask her nicely. Thats what I did. There is a reason, maybe not a good one, for everything.
  • edited December 2011
Ah, I see.  I skimmed and totally missed that.  I've honestly never heard of "first come, first serve" weddings.  I'm not a fan of "a" and "b" lists-but doing your RSVPs like that just takes it to a whole new level.

I opened a beer last night just to say that I did. Didn't take a sip, but smelled it for a long time. One beer wasted.

    I am so bored today...

Has anyone been watching Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution??  I really like that show.
  • edited December 2011
We've been watching it but we missed last weeks episode.  I think we also missed the second half of the premiere.  The attitude of some of the ladies irks me.

    What is Food Revolution about?

In the footsteps of Emi's wasted beer....
A student gave me a mini Reese's Peanut Butter Egg Monday.  Yesterday it started mocking me.  I put it in my mouth, chewed it up and spit it out.  Yeah, I could have just thrown it away but.....

I know!  And the radio host really pisses me off.
  • edited December 2011
Oh, I forgot about the radio guy.  Grrr.

The lack of support and the criticism he has received blows me away.

Food Revolution is about Jamie Oliver coming to the unhealthiest city in America (can't remember where) and trying to overhaul the cafeteria food, hoping to change it in all schools.  He brought in fresh food rather than using all the processed food they use, trying to add in veggies, fruit and other good foods.

    That's what I thought.

Our cafeteria serves lots of fruits and vegetables but I don't think too much of it's fresh.  I know that she serves canned peaches but I think she buys the ones in light syrup; she does the little mandarin orange slices too.  She has salad in two of the lines but then she throws broccoli in with it so I just finish around that.  I haven't been eating down there much recently but I heard that one of lines--where they served burgers--closed up.

Jamie Oliver also did this in England, and from what I hear, it went over very well.

Shortgirl - I forgot, you're the other Ugly Betty fan on here! Do you think they're going to have Betty and Daniel fall in love? I'm not sure how I feel about that.
