I also hope Indiana and the surrounding areas recover soon. I hate scary storms. I wish mother nature would divide that up and send a lot of rain to Colorado, and a little bit to KC and anywhere else it's too hot (it's hotter than hell here- we just need enough to cool down).

Today is day 2 of my staycation, and I'm supposed to clean at least one room of the house. I think I'll put it off until this afternoon, though. Right now all I want to do is make a pizza (yes, I know it's still morning) and watch a movie.

Hearing what you've gone through this weekend Mara really put my piddlyshit problems in perspective.  I'm glad your folks are ok - what a freakin call to get when you're already stressed.

Wow Blue, Gia is 11?  I say you should definitely whoop it up for her. 

My weekend was either really good or really bad.  I did go see Rock of Ages yesterday morning and loved it.  Almost stayed for a 2nd showing of it actually.  Diego woke me up around 2:40 this morning needing to go outside and it wasn't pretty, so add me to the list of worried pet owners.

Good luck to Mr. jcb - lots of job vibes.  We had a great time in KC - I need to go back (except for that whole driving through Kansas thing).  jcb and Mr jcb rock!

The bar bike sounds like fun, BK.  I want to do that.

And now that the fires are under control, we're hearing about people being arrested for burglarizing homes in evacuated neighborhoods, and stealing from vehicles of evacuees (containing all the possessions they could salvage) that were parked at hotels.  Whothefuck steals from someone whose house might be on fire???  Asswholes.
