I started thinking about this the other day, when someone asked the meaning of our German last name. Apparently, it means "champion at jousting", which is pretty badass.

What's your name mean? First, middle and last are fair game!

I think Lauren is a derivative of the word laurel. I read on some what does your name mean card that Lauren means "crowned with laurel." My mom said she really wanted to name me Laurel instead of Lauren, but that she grew up with a name that was consistently mispronounced and didn't want that for me. My last name is French and it begins with "de" which means from and the last part is presumably, the region of the Netherlands my way back family was from.

Not sure what my middle name means...it's an (I think) uncommon Irish surname.

My last name derives from an Irish name that basically means "farmer".

My maiden name means:

In the baby name book I looked at, Megan means "Pearl/Virginal", Kate means "Purity". I guess I wasn't cut out to be a hoar.

I have no idea what my married last name means, but my maiden name is derived from a Transylvanian word for "Royalty".

I only know what my maiden name meant because my one cousin did the research on it a while back. I tried to Google my maiden name and Google pretty much said it doesn't exist, lol.
