Did they suggest using an E-collar at all?  You may be able to use one for a week or two, to prevent her from scratching herself while the medicine kicks in.

At first there were only a few tiny bumps that kind of looked like pimples.  They said Doberman's do usually have skin irritation and to "keep an eye on it".  I took her back the next week because there were more, and they put her on a 2 week antibiotic.  At the end of the second week, it exploded overnight and it was everywhere.

I took her back to them before the second week was up and they did a skin scraping, which determined she had the mites that cause the "good" mange.  This type usually doesn't appear until 4 months of age, and she is 4 months and 2 weeks now.

I also started seeing these pimple type things on my cat.  I took him in and he gets a different treatment.  It is rare in cats, but since they make out and lay together constantly it found a way over to him.  Booooo!

leayn, that SUCKS.  My dog has a skin infection right now but we don't know what caused it.  The antibiotics seem to be working though.  I just feel so guilty I didn't catch it until she started pulling out her hair

Aw sorry to hear that, Kim.  It is hard to tell sometimes when they are just being dogs or something is actually wrong.  I hope that infection clears up soon!

Sco- thank you... yea I really hope I can too.. and praying it don't come to the surgery but I can't do much now so gotta try I guess..
The move was a very last minute back in the corner didn't know what to do, kind of move. I had left ex FI 2 weeks before my parents were scheduled to move out of state. And I know I could have stayed with my sister then, but I was just not in the emotional state to stay there.(in that town) so the move was a good "vacation" for me. I will be going back and bettering myself hopefully in every way possible.

Thanks Jesse I gained a shitton of weight after our wedding, and have gone from 170 down to 152. I haven't been below 150 since I started college so it's going to be weird.

Confession - I bought my dog a birthday cake last week.  Yes, I'm a childless loser.  It was so cute though!  Carrot cake with peanut butter icing.  And they gave him a free pupcake for his birthday!

Nebb- Is your post gone? From the responses, it sounds like things didn't work out as you guys had been expecting. I'm so sorry. I know you've both sacrificed a lot for his comic. I hope things get better soon.

confession.. maybe a vent or AW.. status unclear: my wedding is in 2 weeks... and while yea I am excited... all the happiness has been totally sucked out of it for me and FH due to his work issues (posted a few days back). We are excited... but it all seems so wasteful now. We need the money more than we need the event. We only ever wanted the marriage and allowed ourselves to be caught up in it. Now... we are stressing.

Yeah, I deleted, I didnt really want the information out there for too long - you never know who is lurking and I shouldnt really be talking about that stuff publicly. Needless to say things havnt turned out as expected and were majorly disappointed.
