Holy flucking shiit dude, did you read what Meg posted?  We've all been flamed.  We've all gone through this.  It's kind of a part of the initiation, but when you take it so hard that will be remembered too, so you probably will not come out of it with looking as good as most of the rest of us did.

Vegas, I think both you AND B have a point. I see what you are saying about not scaring newbs away lest we become a small group of people just talking to ourselves with same ol' same ol'. However, I still think B is 100% correct that you can;t make people like you, and being defensive about their dislike gets you no where.

That is why if someone does not like me, my response is typically "you are entitled to your opinion". Everyone on this board has their detractors, myself included and that is okay.
