first dance songs?

My FI and I dont want the "traditiona'" first dance song.........
so far these are the two that we have came up with,
                                 just breathe- pearl jam
                                 differences- ginuwine
they are both completely different from each other, whats your opinion?
(let the brutality begin)

    I know I've heard this from you before, but I just felt my heart grow three sizes. The Drifters = <3. Sandlot = <3. First dance to that song = <3.

    LC, my sister used "At Last" at her wedding, which was the ONLY reason I didn't. ;) But I surprised her with it at my reception, and she and her husband had a dance all to themselves. It's such a classic, great choice!

    Our song was "I'd Rather Be With You" by Joshua Radin. Runners up were "Can't Help Falling In Love" by Elvis Presley and "Stay With You" by John Legend.

    Oops, just realized the OP asked a question about her songs. I've never heard either, so I'm no help, sorry! I think you should go with whatever song you'd feel totally natural dancing to at your reception, and that isn't super duper long.

    I don't like it because it's too slow for me to dance to.  I think it's beautiful though.  The reason things become cliche is that they WORK.

    We used "Love You Madly"  by Cake. But I think of your 2 I'd go with Pearl Jam.

    We're using the acoustic version of Blue October's Calling You. I grew up in the Houston area and used to watch these guys at small venues while I was in high school and college - love this song...

    I'd go with Pearl Jam from your two!

    I decided on Your Song by Elton John. Oldy but a goody and both hubby and I like it.
    I don't know the second song you picked but the first one doesn't sound so bad.

    We used Ingrid Michealson's "The Way I Am" ... which I've seen a lot of Knotties use it, but most of our wedding guests had never even heard the song before, let alone knew somebody that used it as a first dance. But everybody was in agreement afterward it was "perfect for us". So I'm going to say, just pick what's best for you.

    If it's just between the 2 you listed: Pearl Jam all the way!
