Snarky Brides

confessions

old school jazz (crooner type of jazz, especially) totally makes me swoon. I like to listen to it when I drink.

I dropped out of a wedding earlier this year and upon lurking her wedding photos the bridal party dresses looked like crap, so im more glad than ever I dropped out.

NOW YOU!

Re: confessions

  • I have never wanted AC more than right now.

I'm kind of nervous to move in with FI.  We've "practically" lived together for the past year at college, but I know that's nothing like the real thing.  I don't think he really completely understands my need for alone time, just because he doesn't need it as much as I do.
  • I was making fun of someone photos on FB earlier

I just finished off a box of milk duds and I'm onto the raisinets

    Sometimes, I cheat on wordswithfriends

Even though I don't diet or work out (which I should- I'm out of shape) and am happy with my weight I check every day to see if my thighs touch when I stand with my feet together.

I am most likely going to fail my biochem test tomorrow. I am trying to study but the instructor gives no study guide and  he wants us to remember everything from the three chapers we studied including all the charts. It's a month class and he has us doing 5-6 chapters the rest of the weeks. He also just reads out of the book. I think it's fucking redic to make students remember everything from 6 chapters. I am not a machine. I can't remember everything.

I am seriously thinking about complaining and I usually don't complain.

We struggle with this too. For me, it's not so much alone time as it is quiet time. I'm fine with having him with me all of the time, but I just need to sit in relative silence for a good portion of the night. I just do so much talking at work that my brain is worn out. Bless his heart, he's a talker and he just loves to chat. It took some time for both of us to get use to this dynamic.

    :(

I would go ahead and complain, because that really doesnt sound to do that and then not give a study guide. That is just setting up the students for failure (or atleast a difficult time).
  • It's unfair. If I was a chem major then maybe I could swing it but I stuggle in chemistry. The messed up thing is I have to pass this class to move on in my program or I have to wait a whole year.

<div>YES!  That's EXACTLY it.  The quiet.  FI never runs out of things to say.  I love travelling with him and going on car trips, but sometimes I just have to ask him nicely to be quiet for a bit.  </div><div>
</div><div>ETA: A lot of it comes from my only childness and liking the silence after learning how to entertain myself.  He, as the youngest of 4, thrives in the chaos.</div>
  • That sucks Ricks.  I would complain, really.

I confess that I've been addicted to Frontierville on FB for the last couple of days.  Sorry to those of you with the constantly running feeds.  It is a good time-waster, though.

I also confess that I'm completely over this training thing.  I don't want to go back tomorrow, and I'm ready for it to be over already.  5 more weeks to go.  Uggh.
Holy Crap. We survived the first year!

  • I've already been on a date since FI and I broke up. It was great and I'm totally conflicted about whether or not it's too soon to move on. I guess there is no true "waiting period" but, it's still a little unsettling that I was able to move on THIS quickly.

  • I'm watching property virgins and laughing at all the dippy comments these people make.

I hate the way FH eats corn on the cobb.  I can't be anywhere near him when he does it.

I bought a new pair of golf shoes and accidentally used FHs debit card instead of mine (we have the same PIN and he keeps his in my wallet b/c he loses stuff all the time.)  I haven't told him yet.

No, that's not my real name. And FH's name isn't Nun (as in Nun ya bidness) either.

Im still really pissed off about this best friend break up thing. My dog, who I adore more than life itself, got out of our yard last weekend and it was absolutely terrifying and I had the shakes almost all night - and she didnt even say one word, despite my posting that he got out on fb. I want to just rail on her about what a shittyass friend she is, but I dont want her to have the upper hand. Im still REALLY pissed though.
  • Ricks- That is insane! I'm sorry.

Then you'd love my mom too. The two of them can sit around and talk about nothing for hours. I just don't know how someone could have so many words.
  • Another one.  FI's family completely overwhelms me in its hugeness.  FI was telling me about their 4th of July celebration, and he was around what sounded like 30-40 people ALL DAY.  Like, from noon until 11pm.  Even his immediate family (which consists of 13 people) can be a bit much.  I'm going to have a lot of trouble adjusting to all of his family's parties, especially because we'll be living 10 minutes from them.  Ugh.

You're sweeter than I am. I just shoosh him and then make a vampire face. He laughs and then shuts up. He also likes to come home and talk about work which is difficult for me because we work for the same company and I can't talk about my work with him because everything that I deal with is confidential. I usually just listen to him and then shut down for an hour or so.
  • Ricks- that sounds awful, good luck with your exam.
Nebb, that is really scary about your dog and it super sucks your friend didn't check on you.

I confess that I found out today that my sister's bf is (FINALLY ((Mother F-er)) )planning to propose, and I'm torn between being happy because I know she'll be thrilled, and being upset because she is too good for him. Undecided.

Thanks :) my greatest fear is him getting out and being hit by a car, we live on the corner of a side street and a very busy main road. Luckily he got out on the side street and someone was there with their dog so he didnt run very far and kept jumping around the dog. If that dog hadnt of been there I dont even want to think of what would have happened.

  • I had a major breakdown today in FI aunt's diner.  A friend that lives in my development called me and starts off the conversation by saying there are 3 fire trucks by your house.  I swear he said they are going into your unit.  I hand the phone to FI and start balling.  (My parents house burned down 5 years ago while we were all there)  It turned out that it was a gas leak a few units away but I literally was balling.  No one was hurt in our fire 5 years ago but we lost everything and it was very frightening.  I just pictured going through all that again.  I guess I should have listened to the the whole conversation before freaking out.
