Nicole Cano brides need advice

Nicole is doing my hair and makeup for the wedding. I feel like I read something about hair being her specialty and not really makeup. Can anyone elaborate on that. I have a pretty specific look that I can't not acheive on my own with the makeup I want, would it be better to use her for hair and possibly go to MAC for makeup?

  • Hey Tiffany, I used Nicole for hair only but that was only because I realllllly wanted airbrush makeup and she only does regular. I know that Carrie (Cwaggoner) used her for both hair and makeup and she was very happy with the results. Is the makeup look that you're wanting something really extravagant? Maybe if you can give some details, she could chime in on her thoughts.

As a sidenote, I don't think Nicole is the type that would lie to you about her skills. You could probably straight up send her pics of what you want and ask her if it's in her range of expertise or not (and/or if it's do-able with the products that she has). And if all else fails, you could always do a trial really early on so that you'll be more confident with the outcome.

  • Can't believe I'm just now seeing this thread! The reason I was ok with her doing my makeup is that I wear pretty heavy makeup daily, and I am EXTREMELY happy with my foundation and powder. I would have felt naked to just have airbrush. Because Nicole doesn't have an inventory of foundations and powders, you have to bring your own. I would only recommend that if you already have brands that you love and trust.
But Nicole is great with eyes, fake lashes, blush, etc. You can probably see my makeup a little closer in the link in my siggy. It didn't look TOO much different from my everyday makeup, but that's what I wanted.
  • Thanks girls. We were oringinally getting married at my house and 3 months before march wedding FI had a change of heart so we booked a venue so now the logisitics are all screwey and i think time wise we are all going to have to get hair and make up done at the same time. we only have an hour and a half to set up the venue before wedding. Stress level at a 20!
  • My reply might be too late, but I went to high school with Nicole and have followed her on FB. She's really great at natural looks and taking your regular look and 'glaming' it up. Have you considered Tracy Melton? She's doing mine. Fantastic job she did my engagements she does airbrush.
