I stopped two questions in because none of them were the answers I wanted to pick.  So I guess that means I have to move to Canada.

Being able to place weight on things makes more sense.

    I still got Paul first (8/11... 84.5%)
    Perry second (1/11... 37.9%)
    and Bachmann 3rd (1/11...35.7%)

The only reason Perry is in there at all is because I think SS is a complete clusterfuck.

I liked John Huntsman until he said he'd accept second-billing on a Bachman-Huntsman ticket.  Now I'm having a hard time taking him seriously.  :(

I honestly don't understand why Ron Paul doesn't have this thing on lockdown.

    ETA:

Well, I understand it.  I just don't understand it.

I think if Paul had been running 20 years ago, he'd be a shoo-in.  But the modern day GOP is less concerned with maintaining a small federal government and upholding states rights than it is with legislating conservative social values.  That's how someone like Bachman -- who is obviously BSC, but who speaks to the religious fringe -- is taken more seriously as a candidate than someone who represents the party's old school libertarianism.

It's sad -- and I say this with no amount of pleasure, because even though I'm on the "other side," I recognize the need for a strong opposition in order to maintain checks and balances in goverment.  :|

Btw guys, my Chia Obama came in the mail the other day.  I'm using it as a gag gift at my in-law's Christmas.  They are all staunch conservatives.  I hope to God my FIL opens it.  Fock, that would be rich.

    For celles' link, I got:
    1) Obama
    2) Ron Paul
    3) Bachman

So apparently I'm best matched with Obama. Makes sense, I guess. I'm not sure why I am matched with Bachman twice.

lol, this reminds me of a conversation I had with H the other day:

Me: "Have you heard that Obama is now 'the socialist candidate' of 2012?  I think I'm okay with that.  I'm pretty socialist myself."
    [pause]
Me: "Are you okay living with a socialist, you soulless conservative?"
H: "Whatever.  I'm Canadian.  I'm more socialist than you are."

    <3 Canada.

Totally understand what you're saying about Ron Paul, Celles.

I only hope that there are enough 'republicans' that are fed up with the insane hate when it comes to conservative social issues... who will vote for Paul.  I hope.

    Me too!

And, let's be honest. Paul has the best chance of beating Obama anyway.  BE SMART REPUBLICANS. BE SMART.

I like Gingrich, but Bachman is an idiot.  And I'm not down with Huntsman thinking taking second billing to Bachman is a good idea.

Mine was pretty obvious. I got Paul first with 7, then tied Romney and Gingrich with 2 each on the other two choices.
