Night Thread (aka. anyone NOT read Insurgent yet?)

Re: Night Thread (aka. anyone NOT read Insurgent yet?)

  • I've never had a pair of heels that didn't make me want to start limping within a half hour or so of wearing them. My feet just hate them.
    image
  • I think I'm just too flat-footed (I literally have NO arch) to wear flats. That, and so many cute flats stop being cute once I get them in a size 10 to fit me. What's cute in a 6 can look like a canoe in a 10. :o/
  • Hi all! I'm no help Steph - I usually wear cute heels but this summer I'll be walking a crapton. Soo I need to find all new summer shoes. So yay for you for posting the question :-)

I'm watching the Voice and folding laundry. I am so exciting.

  • Sept I often feel the opposite about the big size thing. I feel like heels look clownish in my size (11), and flats w/ rounded toes help them look less clownish. Heh.

Evening!  Steph, I swear by cute canvas peep toe flats in the summer.  I usually buy from Payless because I wear them out fast (stupid sweaty feet).  Lemme see if I can find a link or two.

  • Yeah, jcg. My feet get really sweaty normally. I don't even want to know what will happen this summer when I'm outside a bunch. ick.

I actually have all three of the peep toes in the top picture!  LOL.

ETA:  I find the canvas to be a little more comfortable in the heat as opposed to leather.  Also the peep toe helps with air circulation.  Sorry if that's TMI!

  • Guys. we can talk about things other than shoes and sweaty feet ;)

Have there been ANY good new shows? I love Once Upon A Time, but that's the only show I watch regularly these days.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Night Thread (aka. anyone NOT read Insurgent yet?) : Yeah. I had never caught this one and it's brutal. Just the voices of the girls make me sick, but I feel like I can't look away. One girl's boobs are about to explode from her dress and Martha Stewart did a guest appearance. Hmm. I am trying to figure out what to do with my mom for Mother's Day. <strong>She really wanted to go to this butterfly house, where the butterflies are loose and flying about and you can walk around with them. But that's going to take some planning.</strong>

That sounds so cool!  Is it in NJ?

  • Evening.  I just got home from Best Buy.  We bought a computer about 6 months ago and now it is literally coming apart.  When the screen opens it cracks the keyboard up.  I don't know how to explain it, but she told me that they will need to send it off and probably won't charge me.  I have finals this week for online classes so she opened it where she thought it wouldn't get damaged and told me not to move it off the top of a desk until it can be sent off.  I'm just frustrated because we haven't had it long and I take good care of it.  Apparently someone else just had the same thing too.

Evening! I wear flats every day, so I'm no help. Plus I'm in an office all day.

I like Once Upon a Time too! This is super embarassing but I also am totally enjoying GCB.

I rarely watch new TV these days, mostly because H hates the shows I like and vice versa.  We have a handful we both like and so we'll watch those together.  I definitely DVR Real Housewives of NJ.

  • JCG, I think there are two in Hudson Valley.  This is the one I'm thinking of going to, but I'm trying to find out when they open for the season:
    http://www.rainbowsendfarm.biz/index.htm

Brandi, I think i know what you're talking about. That happened with my netbook. Come to think of it, I need to give it to my mom's friend so he'll fix it.

The only shows I watch are Once Upon a Time and Grimm. Sometimes I'll watch GCB for the clothes and accents, but that's about it. Oh and RHONJ because N wants to sight-see :)

Thanks for the link Nates!  I think my mom would enjoy that, maybe over the summer.  For Mothers' Day we're taking her to Philly for the afternoon.

<div>Have you seen Grimm? I love it.  It's the only show currently airing that I make sure to watch. I also can't wait until Pretty Little Liars comes back on (yeah, yeah...).  </div>

<div>Me too. For new stuff this year I also watch(ed) Ringer, Hart of Dixie, and Missing. They aren't my favourite shows but they are better than a lot of stuff that's on. </div>

Oh! And also I just checked and found that Hell's Kitchen is starting again on June 4th!!  I love that show.

  • JCG, that sounds awesome!  When we were driving past Philly yesterday, N was getting all excited for our still-to-be planned weekend trip there, lol.  Here's another one that is opening next weekend:

LP, I didn't think anyone else watched Grimm :)

  • Men crack me up. H is doing the dishes right now. He only does them occasionally because I just tend to do them right away. He's over there going "Eww" "gross" and totally talking to himself about the grossness. Like I get it H, dishes are gross. They're gross when I do them too. Man up!

  • Sorry Steph, I ran off for a bit.  They gave me a few blisters the first day but once they were broken in they were perfect.  They're really comfortable and I think they'd be breathable enough that you wouldn't be too sweaty?

I agree that 2 broke girls is horrendous. I watched two episodes of Don't Trust the B and one was quite funny while the other was terrible. James Van Der Beek playing himself is really the only good part.

  • Evening!

DH is gone for the night, so the only thing occupying my time tonight is this.

Beware the insidious freezer bomb. :P (It was an accidental birthday present from my in-laws.)

I started watching Grimm but I lost interest. I felt like there wasn't enough of the story that continued in each episode to keep me wanting to watch or they were dragging it out too much. i don't know.

Nates, Grimm is awesome! During the last episode, I kept thinking how much it would suck if I ran into a Murcielago (sp?) because I wouldn't be able to hear it screeching, so I wouldn't know what was going on or why all the glass around me was breaking.  I'm weird, haha.

<div>This is so H when he takes out the garbage. Yes garbage is gross, just suck it up and take it outside. I don't complain when I take out the garbage out. Complaining about it isn't going to make it any less gross. </div>
