I agree with all of this.  I just didn't want to say anything because it makes me feel fairly pathetic.  I was totally <em>that</em> girl in the second grade -- you know, the one who followed her "best friend" around like an over-eager puppy, never realizing that her "best friend" didn't actually know who the hell she was?  (Or, worse, thought she was some kind of creeper...)

I like to think I've evolved beyond that, but professing to be "bi-boardal" while being on the outside of both the E cliques and the SB cliques makes me worry that I haven't changed at all.  

And that is my embarassing confession for the thread!

Celles, I totally get it. It is not fun to be wondering all the time if your friends are really your friends. My BF growing up really burnt me, and it has affected me to this day. It is so hard for me to really trust someone, or to really believe that they would want to be friends with me. So I completely overthink things, which stinks.

I'm not, Ricks.  It's no big deal; I'm pretty lazy with the FB updates anyway.  I just wanted to chime in because I understand where allisong is coming from and I know it was a pretty big admission to make.  I didn't want her to feel alone in feeling alone. 

maratea -- What's the craziest thing you've eaten?  My ex ordered fried rattlesnake at a restaurant once, but I wasn't brave enough to try it.  He said it was kind of like tofu, in that it absorbed the flavor of whatever it was cooked in and was pretty bland on its own.
