Snarky Brides

G'evening Mate!

My boss gave me a gift card this week to Outback this week - employee appreciation week I think it is :) I just had bloomin onion, who is jealous? Don't worry I wiped that heinous smell off my breath with Sam Summer. Which brings me to my next point, it is SAM SUMMER season every one wooohoooo!!!

How is every one else doing this fine evening?

Re: G'evening Mate!

  • Well, hello gorgeous! I'm doing well. I went and met our DJ tonight and he was awesome. Then I took stinkbutt to Ihop for dinner which was even awesomer.

Hi Meg! Your thread title made it so I read your entire OP in a pirate accent, so thank you for that. :) Yar.

We just got finished eating dinner (ground turkey tacos, yum), and now H is upstairs studying for finals. I am jealous of your Bloomin' Onion though, and moreso of your metabolism at being able to eat stuff like that and still look like you do.

  • Faboosh, watching Dancing with the Stars!  Now that Kate is gone, I don't know who to rally against.

And I LOVE some Bloomin' Onion!  Mmm.  Is it not employee appreciation week here in CT?  I feel left out...

IDK where FI is. I am waiting for LOST to come on. I am going to clean out my drawers while it's playing.

I'm stoked because my West Virginia University T-Shirt came in with the rest of the of my VS stuff that I was waiting for from UPS and it was a Small and it was too big! I have to exchange it for an xs! Holler.

    My furbabies are acting crazy.

I don't want to go to work tomorrow! Can I be independently wealthy now, please?

Duh, that would make more sense given the Outback story too. Oops. I guess Pirate is my default accent then. I don't need much of a reason to bust it out!

  • Jenny-  I caught the end of a thread this morning where you said you grew up in Stongington?? omfg I have SO many stories about that town, I freakin LOVE it.

oh, and knowing my boss, he knows nothing and just felt like buying presents. He is dense like that but a total sweetie.
  • xoxox, i will make a deal with you, if I win the lotto you get 10% and vice cersa? pinky swear? ps- where in CT are you? FFCo?
  • Bad Meg! I've half a mind to turn you over my knee... Seriously, how has it been going with the quitting? Any changes? You're too young and hot to let cigs ruin any of that!

    Done and done.

I am not in CT, currently. I grew up in Madison. I live in Brooklyn right now, FI and I met in NYC. We're getting hitched in Middletown. I wouldn't get married in NYC because of the marriage laws.

I miss CT, though! Sadly, there aren't very many jobs for FI or me there. Maybe one day...when I'm an official librarian and he owns his own firm. Sigh. I love NYC but I don't want to stay here for-ev-er.
  • When we go, I order a side of petals. If they'll let me. I usually regret it when I get home, even though I only have one or two.

I took Max for a long walk when I got home today. Max is not, um, leash-intelligent. In fact, he's nearing leash-goober. Thank goodness the trainer only saw him on his best behavior.

Meg! I haven't been able to quit cigs 100% either because of the weight thing. I'm at 80% (no one tell FI!!!)
  • xoxo - Madison is a lovely town!

And Meghan - yeah, Stonington!!  I kinda lost track of that thread once it got to over 100 replies.  What's your connection??  I don't get to Boston too much but my sister goes to school up there, also a great town!

It is actually a really long drama drama response that some of the girls on here know. Kinda juicy though ;) My bf before Mike was a bajillionaire med school guy who was 8 years older than me. We dated two years, he was hot and ridiculously wealthy. He owns on of the most gorgoues homes in Stonington (oh yeah in SOCA, south of cannons for all those snob of Stongington out there haha) Anyway, after years of sailing on his yacht, trips to PR and Mexico nbd, I met Mike at a ridiculous college party one night. It was all over. That's how awesome Mike it. I still have SO many stories about my years spent dating Rob though. I went to more platinum weddings than WE can come up with and I lived through some outrageous money. Back to real life now though... ;)
  • I love Sam Summer but I also really love Oberon.  Its from my hometown too.  I'm being lazy and working on knitting a blanket for my friend's baby shower.  I'm also watching Biggest Loser.

I am really good! Work season is heating up so I am out of my mind but I think in a good way. Mike and I are deliberating on a summer vacay spot, no verdict yet but that is always fun to talk about :) You? Anything juicy?

We have been married for almost 3 months (weird).  We're planning to do non-chemical BC starting this summer so I'm reading the crazy TCOYF book.  I'm pretty boring.

  • Beatles, things are going well - and it's making me NUTS not to tell people!!

My mom tells me that after a few months, energy should go back up.

In the meantime, I'm headed to bed!
  • Well I noticed that many of my favorite people were MIA from E for awhile.  It's gotten very wedding etiquette-y.  I come here by accident and there you all are.  Cew, M&M, You.  I need to know if you all left E (and preferably why because I'm nosy.) for the tropics of SB.

Yes m'am. Very new! The long standing mod reitred months and months ago I guess, so knot annie asked if I would step in and mod along with the awesome xoxo. Of course it will be a very different board than when Cali et al were here, but that's ok. Things change and boards get different depending on the culture of posters who post on them.  We will see how it goes, you know?
  • Doing some work and then I'm gonna indulge in some Glee. H is at his parents' house up in MA till tomorrow to fight a speeding ticket we got 2 weeks before the wedding. Oops! I miss him though, yesterday was 100 days since the wedding. Crazy!

Meag, I am jealous of your Sam Summer. I'm drinking water and I'd kill for a beer right now!
