Snarky Brides

Morning!

I jolted awake at 6:00 this morning, only to realize neither of the TWO alarms I set last night woke me up.  I was supposed to be at our friends' place at 5 b/c one of them is running in a marathon today and his FI and I were going to go cheer him on.  I slept in the big bed (normally where FI sleeps) cuz he's gone this weekend and his alarm gave me a ton of grief yesterday morning (it went off at two separate times) so I was trying to figure it out last night. I also set my phone alarm just in case, but of course, silly  me forgot to turn it ON after I set it.

Good story Chels.

Sooo I'm sitting on the couch watching the Flinstones (movie version) and going through the B-pics my MOH took for me last night and doing some editing. I have a lot of cleaning to do  eventually too. Should be a pretty low-key day

Morning! We're going to breakfast with my father in a little bit and then he is headed to the airport.

I have a few errands to do this afternoon and I need to prep for our camping trip. Other than that I plan on taking it easy.

  • Chels- do you and your fiancé live together but sleep in separate beds? I'm up. The dogs woke me up at 6 and Ike is complaining that he wants dinner right now. Please. Imngoing to be a cleaning machine today and to on a long walk. It's not as hot as it has been so it should be nice!

Yes ma'am! We had separate apartments for awhile, but when we moved into this place we condensed down to one place, which saved us about $2,000 in rent between March and June, which was nice. This new place has two bedrooms so we each have our own rooms.

FI's room wille ventually be our room, so he's got the nice big bed.  It's much comfier than mine, so I sleep in it when he's gone haha.
  • Morning ladies!

Atticus had me up at 4:40, I took him out and made him get back to sleep. Then he was up at 6, so I fed him and he went back to sleep till 7:50.

So, now we're up! Ugh, H comes home this afternoon, but I find myself getting really resentful over not having any ME time anymore. H  has been gone a lot and he has 2 weeks in June he'll be gone as well. This sleep deprivation is killing me. Plus, he is a pain, I swear he looks like hes  thinking of the next thing to piss me off!

    Ok, I'm done venting!

  • Morning. I'm headed off to the store then back home to do some laundry. I hate having to do it all on one day, but oh well. First things first though, I need to go get my prescription. Dentist will certainly be called first thing in the morning.
  • Good Morning!  Storms all last night have done there job and instead of icky, hot, a/c weather, our high will be 70F today.  Yay!

It's cleaning day (well, probably hour).  Dusting, washing the floors, laundry, and the bathrooms all need to be done as I'm trying to keep the house not just clean but sparkly lately.

other than that, I have no real plans today besides brunch which my H is currently cooking up the bacon for. Yum!
  • Good morning. I just got up and made cinnamon buns and my grocery list. FI's friend is awake and watching some political stuff on abc and FI is passed out.

  • I'm freaking out today :)  He'll be moving some of his stuff into "our" (my) place today after work.  I'm gonna run some errands and have lunch with MOH We have a very low key easy(?) ceremony planned as part of a regular evening church service.  Yep we are standing up at the beginning of church and saying our "i do's" An open house reception is planned for later this summer. We are having a "family " breakfast the morning so his and mine can have a meet and greet before the wedding.  The breakfast seems to be morphing into a pre wedding reception with flowers ,music speechs... all great but I'm feeling overwhelmed.  Maybe because we got engaged in March of this year?

Thanks for letting me vent. Hats off to all of you who are doing the "big" weddings.
    Blessings,
    Judi
  • Good morning ladies! Happy Sunday!

I'm currently eating a blood orange Chobani. I can't decide if I like it or not. I've never had a blood orange and while I'm familiar with the look and I know it's good for you, the taste is new. It's kinda like grapefruit and orange mixed.

I felt bad for FI this morning. We slept in a bit and he actually slept longer than me which never happens. I get up and look on the floor and his pillow is thrown off the bed and is covered in blood. His allergies have been really bad and I guess he got a bloody nose last night and had to take some medicine so he could breathe well enough to get back to sleep. Poor guy.

Tons of WR crap to do today. We are less than 3 weeks now and this is our last free weekend..memorial day celebrations with both our fams and then our respective B-parties in the weekends after that plus other obligations.

Going to try to make it to the pool today too. We actually made some friends in our apartment complex yesterday. It was fun..we are OOT so often that it's pretty rare that we actually interact with the people that live by us. We're going to try to do it more.

Im getting ready to go to this food truck thing, but Im all freaking aprehensive cause there were 3000 tickets sold for today. FML.
  • Morning!

I am SO sore today from the concert yesterday. I guess we did so much walking and standing and my back hurts. It was so amazing though. I just got up not too long ago and I'm going to try to find clips from SNL last night so I can see Foo/Arcade Fire.

Acaponi, that would scare me.  I hope he's okay.  H's allergies have been horrible this year, but not that bad.

I hate when I get sore from stuff like that. Walking around downtown in flip-flops will get me sore for days. Glad the concert was fun!

FI's looking better now that he's up and functional. He's got a pretty sensititve nose so this happens every couple weeks.

I should have known better than to wear flip flops--I need to build up my feet to them because they irritate the first few times I wear them. But they looked so pretty :P

That sucks. What does he take for allergies? N just takes Claritin, but he says it's doing absolutely nothing this year anyway.

  • I'm about to get started doing all my work that's due tomorrow.  I procrastinated like all hell and it's sort of backfired on me.  I wish this class didn't suck so badly.
I was just emailing back and forth with my dad, trying to find a time to get together.  We usually go visit his mother together on Sunday's, but work, so I suggested lunch during the week.  He's busy this week during the day, I have plans every evening and will be away the next two weekends.  I miss my dad.  He was away so I haven't seen him in a couple of weeks, but we've talked on the phone.  I'm used to seeing him basically every week, riding in the car for at least an hour just talking about stuff.

  • I never got a reprieve from my allergies this year thanks to a mild winter.  I cannot take anything except a Bendryl at night and hope it lasts into the next day.  everything makes me drowsy.

H and his son went to see the Avengers this afternoon.  I'm home trying to figure out what I can make this poor old sick cat to eat.  He hasn't eaten anything since yesterday afternoon.  He got fluids yesterday and he's on a steriod as of yesterday so I'm hoping his appetite will come back even just a little.  We need to put him down but he's H's cat and he's really struggling with the decision.  He knows my opinion on the subject.

I wore wedgy type flip flops yesterday and all last evening I got charley horses in my calves.

  • Hello ladies. This weekend was a complete bust. We went to Exxxotica yesterday, expecting it to be this big spectacle and since we bought VIP tickets we thought there would be a cool VIP lounge, but it was only just meh... We had seen every booth and a burlesque show within an hour of getting there. We did check out this cool thing called a Violet Wand, it's this little device that creates an electromagnetic pulse (kinda like if you were to rub your feet on the carpet and then shock someone) that you can attach to various stimulating devices. Not 100% sure we want to get one or not though. I don't know if the novelty of it would wear off quickly.

So, since Exxxotica turned out to be a snoozefest, we just came home. I've been on these painkillers for piriformis syndrome which make me super lethargic, so we didn't wind up doing anything last night. H has been restless ever since and keeps pacing the house and twiddling his fingers. He's been on edge ever since last night and it's driving me crazy. I've just been busying myself with cleaning the house, doing laundry, organizing stuff and meal planning for the week. I think we need to get his Xbox fixed soon lol.

OH MY GOD I LOVE FOOD TRUCKS!! thank god we got there early. It started at 12, we got there at about 10 minutes after 12 and the parking was already full and we had to go to overflow parking in another lot and get shuttled to the winery where it was at. The lines werent horrible when we got there, about 10-15 people deep. I waited in line for this place called Busters Sea Cove (I got us a lobster roll and 2 fish tacos - amazing!) and adam waited in line at this place called Gorilla Cheese (he got a grilled cheese sandwich with this amazingly creamy cheddar cheese, bacon and apple slices, it was incredible). Then we got a schnitzel sandwich at a place called Dobro Jesti, toasted ravioli from a place called the Toasted Tangerine (they were so damn good) and Adam got a smoked meat poutine from a place called Caplansky's (I only got a small bite, he finished it off while I was still in line lol). We picked up a 6 pack of cupcakes from The Cupcake Diner and took those home (ive only tried the Strawberry Shortcake cupcake so far and I think it was the most delicious thing to ever be in my mouth lol - we also got Banana Coconut, Caramel Apple Pie, Chocolate Hazelnut, Chocolate Dulce de Leche & Red Velvet).

Seriously. I love food trucks. Im also going to be so greivously fat after this afternon but it was so worth it.

Have you tried feeing him baby food?  My cats loved to steal my sister's baby food when she was little.  Plus, it's supersoft and easy for an old, sick cat to eat.
