Hey, how did your Detroit trip go? What did you end up doing-- did you take any of the many suggestions here?

Hey! Sorry to get back to you so late, we just got home. We had a great time! We actually didn't have time to go into Detroit-  we stopped at a brewery on our way up and stayed there for a few hours, so by the time we got to our hotel, we had time to settle in, get ready and head to Birmingham. The restaurant, The Forest Grill, was amazing! Best food ever. But really expensive. The only downside to the whole trip was the weather. It rained on our way up and it was snowing on our way home, but otherwise it was really fun, and I'd love to go back and actually go into the city.

Haha I probably should have thought and NOT posted on Easter Sunday. Way to find a day that is likely to get no response, lol.

I LOVE LOVE breweries.  Where did you go?  I know of literally every one in Michigan, and maybe about 1/2 of those in Indiana. 

I have heard good things about Forest Grill! I didn't know that's what you were coming for, I must have missed that part.  FI and I definitely need to check that place out.  It's the one that's all locally-provided, right?  FI works at a place in Ann Arbor that's all local, and it's also pretty pricey.  Maybe that's one of the payoffs, I guess.

And yes, make sure you come back and spend time downtown I'm quite partial to it.
