Hangover cures?

I'm just going to ask now, so they're all waiting for me in the morning....

    Drink lots of water tonight.
  • My biggest thing I learned in college was not to go to bed drunk, and drink a lot of water before I went to bed. I could get outrageously drunk and as long as I drank a bunch of water, and went to bed sober I would be fine. Any time I went to bed drunk I woke up feeling like a bus hit me.
  • I stopped drinking about 2 hours ago... and I'm determined to have at least 3 full glasses of water before I pass out (i.e. entertain me to keep me awake)

  • Cheese fries in the morning.

    Thats all I got.

IVF #1= BFP. m/c at 7w6d. Needed 2 D&C's and scar tissue removal. Mild OHSS
IVF #2 = BFP. Severe OHSS. 4 Drainings. TWINS!
  • Take ibuprofen before you go to bed, drink some water, and then in the morning you'll need alka seltzer and greasy hangover food - something like sausage McMuffin with egg and hashbrowns.

    MC D's FOR BREAKFAST!!!
  • This sounds weird, but my go to foods for the morning after were bacon, cucumbers and Sprite.

  • Mc Donalds breakfast, or waffle house. Lots and lots of water, but I typically drink it while drinking.

  • Ugh I don't miss hangovers.

  • Hangovers are the major reason that I stopped drinking. I get the worst hangovers imaginable (or maybe I'm just a gigantic pussy). Either way, I end up wasting the whole next day feeling like my eyes are being eaten by my brain. It's just not worth it to me.

Hope you're not feeling too bad today. :)

  • Tim says water sleep and Advil.

I've actually never had a hangover. It's the strangest thing. I've drank to the point of passing out a few times and woke up the next morning energized and ready to go.

I only drink to the point of being drunk maybe three times a year, so maybe that has something to do with it. Or i'm just lucky like that.

  • Thanks! I just woke up and I'm fine...  tired, but fine. I will be heading to McDonald's shortly, though. haha

I think the problem is that I never really really drink.  I'll have a beer with dinner or at night, but very rarely do I get drunk.  FI made me my rum and coke last night... and let's just say he makes it a little stronger than I do ;)
  • i second the vote for mcdonalds. i usually go for a chocolate milkshake.

lots of water and never ever take acetaminophen (tylenol).
    always go for ibuprofen.

  • Large order of McD's fries and a giant Coke. Works every time.

  • Meg- you're still around? hi!

Just downed two breakfast burritos (only $1/piece!) and half a thing of Gatorade. I feel better already :)
  • Ibuprofen and Tylenol + alcohol = a fried liver. It is actually very dangerous to mix the two, because your liver can shut down when it has to deal with both at the same time. Aspirin is the only way to go. I could really use some aspirin now.

Yeah, I'm still here, lol. I've been in and out a lot lately. My youngest brother is on summer vacation for another 3 weeks (He's 11 and has Asperger's Syndrome), my 1 neice just started walking and getting into everything, and the other one was a preemie that just came home from the hospital a few weeks ago on oxygen ... so I've been busy trying to help my family out with taking care of the kids.

It's sad, I've actually found myself "missing" all the Knotties the past few weeks, lol.
