Snarky Brides

Well alrighty then...

Well, apparently there have been more terrorist alerts for Europe so sil decided not to go. Instead she, mil, and niece are coming to stay at our house Friday night through Sunday. I still don't understand why (they only live an hour away) but hey, it's better than Thursday through Tuesday!

Now I just have to pull another bed out of my asss....are air mattresses ok/

Re: Well alrighty then...

  • That is a much better situation if you ask me. Of course air mattresses are ok, what did they expect you to come up with? I see no California King memory foam mattress being pulled out of your ass in the near future. =]

Where in Europe do you plan on going?

  • Jel you make me laugh :)

CS, apparently Al Queda are saying they have bombs planted already in European cities which are supposed to be set off in the next week. Sil would be flying into London Thursday. With her H already in a pretty dangerous situation she's not risking it.

I'm much more happy about this situation. At least now sil and I can watch girly movies and drink wine and gossip. Oh, and get my closet done finally! It was my birthday gift, only...7 months late.
  • How scary, Im glad they chose to stay home too.

My brother was stationed in Germany for over a year. I saw pictures and it looks amazing. I was going to go visit him but I couldn't afford to go.

  • Yeah, I won't lie I was worried about safety. I know things can happen anywhere, but having two parents overseas was not making me feel very secure for my niece.
  • Good call.

That's how people feel about me wanting to go to Mexico. I know a bunch of crazy stuff is happening over there but I plan on being in a resort most of the time. I wouldn't venture out into the city or into the bad parts of Mexico. Its probably safer not to go, good thing my birthday plans got canceled!

  • What're you having done to the closet?
  • I have to say I'd probably watch video of someone pulling a mattress out of their ass. LOL

  • I'm headed to Europe on Friday, and not really worried about it.  I'll take less public transportation because of the threat, but that's about it.  And we're going to Munich AND Paris, so two of the targeted countries.

Regarding house guests, yes air mattresses are perfectly fine.  There's some really good ones you can get at Bed Bath & Beyond that cost about $100 for a queen sized bed with a "boxspring" section (so it is raised up off the ground like a real bed).  It's fantastic, and what my parents use for my grandparents when they come visit, so it's definitely perfectly fine for guests!
