Morning, shoogs!

Re: Morning, shoogs!

  • Morning Cew.

I work with a guy that is very critical of movies and when he said the Fourth Kind made the hair raise on his arms. I figured it will be scary. May have to move it up on the que.

We did go to see Inception last night. Excellent movie.

  • The Fourth Kind scared me because I'm already terrified of aliens (yes, I know how stupid that sounds). I mean, I know a lot of it was faked but that doesn't change the fact that what I saw still gave me the creeps. I really, really don't want to be abducted and The Fourth Kind just further solidified that. The scene where the guy lifts off the bed while demonic voices are talking had my heart racing.

And if Paranormal Activity was worse, no way in hell am I seeing it. Not many movies scare me, but aliens get me every time. Signs is still one of the worst for me to watch.

[QUOTE]Katie - Yay Demon!  And I like how the bedroom is all black with cutsey stuffed animals lining the bed :)

Isn't that best :) With the exception of 2, those are all stuffed animals Scott has bought me. I can remember the birthday, anniversary, etc with most of them. He also got me this giant pink horse that I'm sure Taryn will get a blast playing with if you guys can make it to the party.
  • Black. I love black. How do you keep everything nice & hair free w/all those pets?
  • We don't, so prepare for fur :) They are actually pretty good about keeping their shedding to the floor. Demon is the only one on the bed because Katie can't get up or down herself and she really doesn't shed that much unless you pet her. Other than that it's Dyson vacuuming all the time.

Aliens scare the crap out of me, too. Even ET- I hate that creepy little bastard- he gives me the heebie jeebies for 3/4 of the film, then the SOB makes me cry. <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-yell.gif" border="0" alt="Yell" title="Yell" />

I think Paranormal activity would also be too much for me.

The exorcist I was ok with. Thing is, I don't actually *believe* in demonic possession... but I do believe in aliens and ghosts.  Do I think I'll be killed by an alien or ghost? No. But I think it's likelier than being taken over by the devil. Besides, it seems sometimes my mother has been, and what are the odds of two demonic possessions in one family?

We did!  Lakeside Villas in Madison.  The board definitely helped us not wind up in a crappy part of town.  We're excited to be by the lake, plus the apartments look really nice!

  • Safe travels Sucrets.. Next weekend is supposed to be considerably cooler (low 80's instead of mid 90's ) and sunny right now so that should make moving in a little more bearable.  (I'm stalking the 10 day forecast cause the 3-day walk in Cleveland is next weekend and I'm walking...)
  • Loopy, I've already been checking!  Anything is going to feel cool compared to the blistering sun and 100 degree temps down here.  I bet there's a nice breeze off the lake, too!  :-)

  • I'm watching a classic by the name of "Carny" on SyFy. Can you just guess what it's about. I love horrible b monster flicks. It's a sickness I have. DH just rolls his eyes.

  • This is the 1st day in about 2 months that I am not doing anything. No family events. No wedding stuff. No prior engagements. This might also be the FI's last Sunday working so this will be my last "me" day for a while.
