  • A priest told it in church once.

The parents just had a baby and were bringing her home for the first time.  They already had an older son who was about 4 or so, and they were worried about how he would take the whole "new baby in the house" thing.  When they came home, he didn't really pay any attention to the baby, so they figured he was adjusting well.

A few days later, he asked the mother if he could see the baby.  When she said yes, he said, "But I want to see her alone."  The mother said no, but the boy kept asking, day after day.  The parents started to worry.  Why did he want to be alone wih the baby?  Everytime they asked him why, he would just shake his head.

Finally, they decided they had no choice.  The son was becoming obsessed with his request and wouldn't let up.  They left him alone, but left the baby monitor on in case of an emergency.

The boy walked up to the crib and said, "Hi, sister.  I have a question for you. Can you tell me what God looks like?  It's been a while since I've seen him and you were just there."
  • The Whompus! Yes.
Could we get some chinchilla in this thread?

  • Oh, yay, doggie!  Much better!
  • That is so sweet! Kids are awesome (as long as they aren't mine).

  • Whompus makes everything better :) Except headaches, she tends to make those worse with her hound dog baying wookying noise.
  • Window kitty! The chinchilla is so awesome. I have a love/fear relationship with those kind of small furry creatures.

  • Does KW howl when the fire trucks/random sirens go off? We live right by a fire house.  Sometimes Bax ignores the sirens, but sometimes he howls with them.
  • Here are my other babies (well, were my other babies)

(she's poking her head out on the left side of the hood.)
  • They're adorable, and they're still your babies.
My aunt used to have a rat. She said it would follow her like a dog.

  • I didn't know rats could be trained to that level. Btw, my puppy is named Honey. I got her at the age of 7. (She's blind and still lives with my parents.)

  • Honey is a good name :) I originally wasn't going to get Honey (Mary and Pox are sisters, Honey is 1 week younger) but then she got sick while at the store. After two weeks of giving her meds twice a day (and coming in on my days off because my employees couldn't get her to cooperate) I decided she had become my ratty.
  • I wish the Petco employees were as devoted. They have tons of animals in unsafe conditions. Like, the bearded dragons are always dying of impaction because they have sand in their cages.

  • That always pisses me off too. I fired someone once for putting a baby beardie on sand. I hated our leopard geckos. The breeders always sent them so tiny that crickets would cause impaction. I just stoppped ordering them after a while, or would only order adults. Our animal breeders didn't like me lol.
