Glenn Roush

Does anyone know anyone that has used him before? Stephanie I think you said you booked him. did you book him on referral? And did he actually charge you the full $1500? I am meeting with him this weekend but it seems like $1500 for a guy that just does weddings on the weekends (he is not a full time DJ, he has a full time job during the week) is a bit much. But I almost hired Scott from Creative Touch and luckily a Knottie reviewed him and said she fired him! I don't want to make the wrong decision but $1500 is a lot more than I wanted to spend.

We liked Glenn alot.  His price was in the range we were looking at.  It's for unlimited time so you don't have to worry about him going over, charging extra, etc.  We wanted someone who was classy and we felt he was on the same page with giving us what we want--a fun but elegant event. There are certainly cheaper DJs out there, as well as more expensive ones.

Oh and yes, Jennanderic09 referred me to him--her wedding is coming up I think.

I have booked him too- my wedding is on a Sunday so I am getting a better, Sunday rate. I am excited about Glenn and I know Stephie and Jenn who have also booked him are too, I am not sure why his value should be less because he does a different line of work during the week. If he is good, he's good. I think you often get what you pay for. I met with two other vendors- one cheap, one higher end and didn't like either nearly as much as Glenn. Good luck.

I agree with Jess. You get what you pay for. As for budgeting, everything I thought I had right was actually very wrong. When I started to look at things and realized that the actual cost of chair covers was more than I had originally budgeted for my DJ, I knew I needed to rethink it. $1,500 is not that much when you think what he can bring to the reception.

Wow that is a lot of money for a DJ!  I agree you get what you pay for to a certain extent but c'mon.  You don't want one of those $200 craigslist guys but you should definately be able to find a good DJ for under $1000.  I called about 10 dj's and interviewed 5 that were in the $650-800 price range and was pretty impressed with all of them.  We ended up going with Matt (djsofdallas.com) and I can't say enough great things about him!  Does that price include uplighting?  I was able to get uplighting, a custom gobo, and a light show for under $1000 and got a ton of compliments.  Interview a few at or under the $1000 before you pay more.

Hi, which friend did you use of Glenn's that you did not like? Glenn is booked for my wedding and said he would refer a friend. Now I am nervous. What was his name? Thank you
