A couple of women at work frequently send the religious themed "pass this on to 12 people and see what God does" emails which I think is totally inappropriate for the workplace. Would you say anything or just continue to delete and keep quiet?

Love it.
It's definitely not something I'd report and I'll likely just continue to delete them.
I definitely don't think those emails have a place at work (chain e-mails) regardless of the religious content. If I received enough of those from someone I'd probably ask them to stop sending them, and if they didn't, then I'd probably report it because I find those highly annoying.
Does your work place have policy on forwarding e-mails? If it does you may go that rout. If it does not I think I would politely ask them not to send ANY forwards because you get to much or it fills up your inbox. Just make an excuse as of why you don't want general forwards so you don't have to address the grey area! Also, if you have an HR department it could always be an opption to go to them.
We've had people severely reprimanded for sending forwards that were deemed inappropriate, especially when they were accidentally sent to the president. OOPS. Just glad it wasn't me that sent it.
I think it's inappropriate too. Is it an isolated incident? If so, yeah deleting it should be okay. if they send another, I'd reply and ask them to stop (but not delete that sent message..documentation). If a third happens, after you've asked, then I'd report it.
I get these from a lady at work about once a day. It annoys the crap out of me, but I think it would really REALLY hurt her feelings if I said anything, so I delete and and just mutter about it to myself. Yesterday's was: "Today is beautiful friend day! Send this to ten friends who are beautiful inside and out! Make sure to send it back to the beautiful friend who sent it to you!" Complete with flowers, bunnies, and picture of Jesus. (?)
Another issue with that is now I automatically delete emails from her usually without reading them, so I hope I don't miss anything that's actually work-related.
I hate pretty much all chain email. I have voiced my hate for them countless times and people still send them to me. Most of the time it is family that sends them and they still CC just to mess with me.
This is todays - "To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did" When God takes something from your grasp. He's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better. Concentrate on this sentence. "The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you." Something good will happen to you today, something that you have been waiting to hear. Please do not break. Just 27 Words, 'God our Father, walk through my house and take away all my worries and illnesses and please watch over and heal my family in your name, Amen.' This prayer is so powerful. Pass this to 12 people including me. A blessing is coming to you in form of a new job, a house, marriage or financially. Do not break or ask questions.. This is a test. Does God come first in your life? If so, stop what you’re doing & send it to 12 people now. Watch what He does.
I'm really tempted to reply with Sarah's response.

I get it in person rather than email. My coworker is married to a pastor and their entire lives/free time are wrapped around their church/ministry. Doc I work for is also very religious but he doesn't say much to me in that vein; co-worker is usually pushier. This entire area where we live is very religious and we have a Christian college in our town.
I do get religious emails from BiL's wife. And I do read them, but I do not pass on. I struggle with religion on a very base level so I am open to other people's experiences etc. I just don't believe that me passing on an email (any kind of chain email) to 12 friends is going to do any of us any good.
Dot makes an excellent point about viruses. I hadn't even thought of that so I would consider reporting these emails to IT and having them blocked. That should stop future emails.
Otherwise, I would just delete them. My mom sends junk like this to me all the time and I've found asking her not to does no good so I end up just deleting them. Maybe living in Texas has numbed me to stuff like this, you would be suprised how many people put religious quotes in their professional email signatures. I don't have a problem with it personally but I've always found it odd that people think nothing of doing that here.

This. I hate all chain mail, e-mail, FB posts, FB messages, you name it. That being said, I normally just delete them after I've made my point about them.
I'd say something, and have in the past. I'm never rude about it, but some people just don't realize that the people they associate with every day aren't exactly like them. I'm pretty quiet about my beliefs IRL, so I've been invited to church and Bible study and even asked to participate in Tea Party events by well-meaning coworkers, lol.
I definitely wouldn't report it, or anything, but a polite "Can you please remove me from your distribution list? I don't really agree with/need/have time for these chain e-mails and I'm worried I'll delete something important along with them..." is fairly nonconfrontational.
I've asked to be excluded from these emails at work and I now get more of them. Everyone wants to save me. I try not to be too irritated by it. It's nice that they have concern for my soul. I just wish that concern was the silent type. I wouldn't report it, though, because hitting "delete" is really not taking up too much of my time. If they start slipping holy water into my coffee, then I'll complain.

<div>Ha. I didn't even think of someone trying to save Girlie if she asked them to stop.</div>
It's just so surprising to me that given the current corporate climate people still think this is ok. You can barely compliment someone on their outfit for fear of a sexual harrassment claim.
I'll probably just keep deleting. It's my Friday and I'm feeling soft.
If it was excessive, I'd probably report it.. not because of the religious nature necessarily (although that's not work appropriate at all), but because chain emails are a common way to spread viruses, and really shouldn't be circulating through workplace email accounts.
Re: WWYD? Religious emails at work.
If they start coming by your desk and wanting to give you pamphlets on Jesus, then that is inappropriate for the workplace.
Like AATB said, I'd only get bothered if they came to me personally expecting me to do something.
I suppose If you feel comfortable, you can always just ask them politely to remove you from their mailling list for chain emails.
