Steph about 2 years ago on P&E a girl said she got Gypped. People freaked out and told her she was wrong and being Racist. The thread went on for about 20 pages? and she would not apologize. She said she needed to go make a pot roast and that she would be back and was never heard from again. It was the most ridic thing ever.

Not even, she quoted something her UNCLE said, but didnt see anything wrong with the phrase GYPPED, and because she wouldnt agree that it was bad it just snowballed. It was then admitted it was intentional to run her off because she wasnt well liked by some.

Washington has already been sued multiple times by various tribes and cultural groups. That's part of the reason why they moved stadium locations.

And in case you are wondering, yes Redskin is a racial slur, in the same camp as n*gger, sp*c, chink, etc.

I think the Redskin mascots are legitimately offensive. But I don't care so much about the gypsies. They're not exactly a protected class.

I guess my point was that, there are a lot of things that people find offensive. One might be more important to some than others. But the fact of the matter remains, that it's kind of weird to demand that all people stop saying these things. It sucks. I have a ton of Native American heritage but I don't post on message boards about how people should stop using the term "Indian Giver" or anything else.

I guess I just think they're are people who get it and people who don't.
