Minor invitation freakout

Ok, so I decided I was going to stuff all my invitations tonight. I didn't get too far into it when I realized my address is printed incorrectly on the RSVP postcards... Its not horrible- just missing a 0. I don't know what to do. Should I try to find a navy blue sharpie pen and write it in?? I didn't purchase the invites, FI's aunt did them as our wedding gift, so I feel kinda bad saying anything. Plus I don't know that anyone will really notice or care if I write in the 0. What do you guys think?

Oh, and a funny side note- I was sitting here just staring at the cards, FI looks over at me and asks "That is really going to bother you, isn't it?" I was like "umm, yes. I DO want to receive these back, if the address is incorrect, they will not be getting here!"
He is so smart, but sometimes just doesn't think. :)

Re: Minor invitation freakout

  • I'd try the navy blue marker/pen or just simply purchase or print address stickers that you can place over the address if possible. I don't know how that would look since I don't know how the cards looks, but it might be just fine.
  • Yea, how do they look? Do you have pictures? Is the 0 on the end or the middle? Can it be squeezed in?
  • I think it will be ok if you just write in the 0. It would bug me, too, but I bet most people won't even notice.

shaye, the labels are a good idea if all else fails.

roxy, the 0 is missing at the end, so it can be squeezed in, it will just be tight..

ETA- oops, I called you shaye. hehe
also, I don't really want to post a pic of my address- i might get some real stalkers then.. :) Nah, really I'm just too lazy to take one, then white out the pic.. so yea.
  • You have to do something...you can't gamble that they might not get sent back to you!  I would write it in, but a pic would help us decide.

  • Oh, sucrets- I'm definitely going to do something!

OK, you convinced me. Here is a pic. Sorry its kinda sucky, but my camera is broken, all I have is cell camera. I guess you can at least see the spacing. I couldn't resist adding some of my own artwork in paint. ha

  • Where's the 0 missing? The last digit of zip?
  • No, it should be 30000 instead of 3000 on the address. So it'd have to be squeezed in between the 3000 and the T.
  • Ohh.. Hmm... Yea, I'd just squeeze it in
  • Ok. I am going to check Office Depot for a navy blue sharpie pen tomorrow. Thanks ya'll. Goodnight!!
  • Your address is 30000? jeesh. That's a 'high' address number!

anyway. I'd try squeezing it in.
  • Steph, yea.. I know. Its a little annoying because it confuses everyone. Oh well.

Maybe it's a southern thing?  I noticed that when we lived in Little Rock - that the addresses started at 1000 instead of 1, or something like that.  But the numbers were all higher.

Yea, thats what I'm thinking too. I was talking to someone from Michigan, and she was like "What, thats crazy.." I think her address was basically 123 main st. lol
I think part of it has to do with living in an area that is growing (lots of retail stores and restaurants right outside the neighborhood, and the potential for many more. Maybe they had to account for that. Who knows.
  • def try to fix it DIY style

but just as a word of zen, just remember what the reply card is - it's a freakin piece of paper that the post office is just going to destroy anyways, so don't even stress about it.

    good luck!!
