When did you change out of your dress?

For those of you that went to a hotel after the reception, did you wear your wedding dress to the hotel or change somewhere first?

Wore it till we got back, then I put on jeans and a tshirt to go out for a bar drink.

I wore mine all night, didn't take it off until we were back in our room, after midnight I think?

We're driving to a hotel that is a bit of distance away from our reception hall for the wedding night. I could go home and change first, or check into the hotel in my dress, but I'm not sure if that seems AW-ish?

I wore my dress until about the last half hour of the reception. Most people were gone, maybe 20 left or so, so I changed into a more casual dress and H took off his jacket, vest, and tie.

I wore mine all night. We went back to our hotel and invited everyone to come to an after party at the bar there. I didn't even go up to our room, we headed straight to the bar.

I wore mine until we went back to the hotel. The staff applauded when we walked through the lobby.  I took a shower and then we decided that it sucked that we hardly got to eat at the reception.  With my hair all done up and wearing jeans and a t-shirt, we hit up Taco John's for a taco burger, an ole with cheese, and a churro.  Best meal ever.

Ohhhh Taco Johns sounds heavenly! My IL's ordered pizza for everyone in the hotel conference room after our reception. We had 90% out of state guests. There was also leftover wedding cake that got demolished, and we had leftover beer. I probably would have changed out of my dress earlier if H and I were going to a hotel alone though.

Thanks! Everyone gave great suggestions, so it was pretty easy to put together.  FI is competitive about this costume contest now, so we have next year's costumes picked out already.  He will be a criminal and I'll be a ball and chain attached to him. SInce it will be a month before the wedding, we'll put signs on ourselves that say "life sentence: marriage."

Yes, we've planned it out .  We are lame.

I'm planning on wearing my dress alllll night, including out to whatever bar we hit up afterwards. It'll be the most expensive outfit I've ever worn, and I want my money's worth... not like I can wear it again!
