My dog doesn't chew on things for the most part.  But if I leave a nail file out, he apparently can't contain himself.  He LOVES nail files.

  • DB likes to shred whatever the last thing was that I touched before I left.  I like to move things above her reach and then somehow when I get home my whole bag full of goodies from the dental school are all shredded up (Even the toothbrush but hey, that counts as her toothbrushing for the day), or FI's hat that was his favorite.  She really is an ass.  So now she lives in her crate when we are gone.

No worries Edie :)  I "think" I would rather see the Penguins pull through even though I personally like the Flyers better, if I can even say that being a B's fan.  Honestly at this point I am more concerned about damned Ovechkin.  He is a beast.

The only requirement to being engaged is two adults agreeing to get married.  You have a wedding date, so you're engaged.

  • You're getting married in five months and you don't consider yourself engaged? Or partially engaged?

    Ooooo-kay.
  • I lurk and sometimes post.

    Engaged/Married Date
    Engaged December 17, 2011 getting married August 3, 2012

    Pets
2 cats - Tag & Koda (my little grey monsters).   1 dog - Paddy (the big yellow beast).

Favorite thread you've read on here so far? Least favorite?
I like the threads with lots of drama and the crazy things people say.

    Random thing about me
I am on a quest to visit all 7 continents I was supposed to visit Antarctica in December 2011.  Made it all the way down to southern tip of Argentina to find out the boat was broken and the trip was cancelled.   Returned home from vacation a week early very upset.   That weekend FI proposed to cheer me up :)

  • I'm a lurker. I was initially scared of this board (since the word "snarky" doesn't fill me with positive thoughts) But once I began to lurk, I noticed it was more of a chit chat board and not a b&*@h-fest!

    Engaged: 12/24/2010

Wedding Date: 6/2/2012 (just 43 days away)

Pets: No pets. I've wanted a puppy for a while. I'd finally worn down FI and he was going to get me one this last Christmas... and then our apartment management decided to become a no-pet zone. Booooo! So, now I must wait!

Favorite Thread: Not anything specific. But I get a MAJOR kick out of the "overreacting bride" who asks a question about Etiquette or posts for advice and once she gets the TRUTH (i.e. negative feedback) she flips her lid! I've seen them start judging people on the board, totally going on the defensive and some (that are really cuckoo!) delete their ID and reappear under a new one. The "nut jobs" are always the most entertaining.

Random Facts about Me: I post mostly on the June board. Sometimes others, if I have specific questions. FI have been together almost 5 years and he is the one person who "gets" me. I am a few months away from getting my Bachelors degree but let me say, it's REALLY tough working full time, busting my a$$ to finish school AND plan a wedding! Whew!

Engaged? married? date?  Engaged, wedding date is June 10th of this year

Any pets? 2 dogs; well one dog and a troll-like creature.  I had a dog coming in and he is a sweetie to both of us.  The dog my FI had before we met hates me (I think its a jealousy thing).  His dog is basically Stewie from family guy, always calling me names and plotting my death.  I'm trying to convince my finance that we need to get a third dog, a great dane that I can put a saddle on and have the little troll ride around on.  His dog would at least be cute and entertaining as he is growling at me.

Favorite thread you've read on here so far? Least favorite?  I both love and hate the FFF, AYG, etc. threads.  They drama can be entertaining but I'm scared to join in as I've heard some horror stories about newbs getting ripped to shreds.

Random thing about yourself so we can get to know you.  See my desire to put a saddle on a giant dog and have a tiny dog ride it around above.  Can't really think of much else.

This reminds me of my former roommate's wedding, she and her bf decided to get married before moving cross-country and put the whole thing together in about 3 weeks.  Right before we all walked out to the vineyard where they said their vows, he got down on one knee and proposed so they could be formally engaged for a little while.  It was a lovely moment, and completely them.

Engaged? married? date? - We've had some serious discussions about it, and BF has talked about things like colors, location, and budget, but no ring yet.

Any pets?  - Not yet. My kitty (Gomez) passed away in 2010. I'd had him for 12 years, so it took me a while to work through the sadness. I miss having a kitty around, so we're planning to adopt one or two from the shelter after we move.

Favorite thread you've read on here so far? Least favorite?  - I spend most of my time on NEY, so it's hard to say. I like the advice threads on E because I've learned a lot. I've read through some of the chatty threads on this board, but I haven't jumped in yet because I'm kind of shy.

Random thing about yourself so we can get to know you. - I love traveling by train (Amtrak). I haven't been to Europe yet, but it's high on the list since I was an English/History double major in college.

Wow,  you went to Reds opening day??  Do you have season tix or something?  My FI is a Reds fan, I was raised an Indians fan, but root for both teams now (even though my dad HATES me rooting for the Reds now too).  The Reds will pick it up....season is young, they have a ton of potential this year!
