My Ring!!!

Aaah! We finally ordered my ring!!!

I'm insanely picky, and don't wear rings at all, ever, so it took us/me forever to find a ring I'd be comfortable wearing, then when we did find one it was online so there was all that pesky company-research crap and having to figure out my ring size and stuff, but now it is ordered!!!

Also, I don't recommend getting engaged and then putting off getting a ring for several weeks. I got so many "Where's your ring? You aren't engaged until you have a ring," comments. Thank God FI knows me well enough to know that getting the ring would be a process.

It's an engagement/wedding ring set, all in one, but I am so in love with it. It's from this website, Wexford Jewelers. I've already gotten a "the diamond isn't very big" from my dad, but I love the artistry of the ring, and the story (family business, second generation jewelers, use of vintage diamonds and reclaimed metals for a lot of their stuff, et cetera). I am so happy!

ETA- I linked the wrong word. Also, FI may have to hide the wedding band part from me when it comes in, the set is beautiful together.

Yes!
I love the pink-y tone of it, and my (very few) other pieces of special jewely are all rose gold.

I didn't think getting a ring would be a big deal at all, but now that it's ordered I am so excited.

So pretty!! I love my ring, but I really hated how I told people I was engaged and they immediately grabbed my hand. I refused to post a picture of it on FB, too. I mean, you could see it in pictures, but there wasn't one single close-up of it.

Allie- There're vintage diamonds in there.

CWag and Sunshine- I hear what you mean about ring-gawking. My mom has had horrible luck with rings, her original ring was lost during her first year of marriage, second ring was lost in the river, third ring had the diamond fall out once when she shut her hand in the car door, then again after the diamond was replaced. 30 years of marriage and three rings, one with a replacement stone. I remember her being so upset about losing the second ring (first was before my time) because everyone assumed she was getting divorced or going bankrupt and had to sell the ring. I love my ring, but the importance everyone else was placing on having one made me procrastinate on choosing one.
