Snarky Brides

Randoms

Let's talk to keep me awake.

Oh my God am I tired.  I have been sleeping enough, but apparently my body doesn't think so.  It's bad to nap on your desk, right?

We bought the couch last night and a matching storage ottoman.

I feel delightfully adult knowing that we will be moving into a more grown up apartment with a new grown up couch.

My start date for the job is June 6th.  Eek!

Re: Randoms

  • Yay job and apartment and couch and ottoman!!

I'm looking at jobs, apartments and room rentals right now. God this is depressing.

Also, a spider just ran across my hand as I was typing this, and I almost had a heart attack.
  • I'm excited for your new job :) New furniture is THE BEST.  And it's entirely fine to sleep at your desk.  I do it sometimes.

And if you ever repeat that I will deny it.

  • Yay for new couches!

I think it's only bad to sleep at your desk if it's a lazy looking nap as opposed to one that says "oh my goodness, I'm so driven to succeed and busy that i just crashed."

My belly problems are better today and rewarded my pain with a good weigh-in.  I was so worry that my Sunday carb craving set me back.

I ran a mile today and might try another one later.  I wasn't trying to, but walking just felt so slow today to my body.

I'm going to pick up all my annuals at the greenhouse on Friday and am trying to decide what i like best.

I'm meeting with a friend of mine on Thursday for drinks/dinner to discuss getting an apartment together. I'm not sure it's going to happen though, so I'm still focusing on the low-income apartment on the other side of town. My Office Manager at work, said she'd 10-99 me for the excess I needed, and then I'd just babysit for her a lot. haha. So, that might actually work. I really think I need to be alone for a litle while, and everyone else keeps telling me I should get roommates so I'm not lonely. I'm getting kind of tired of the advice.
  • I'm glad your tummy is better, Anna.  I've lost some of the parent visit weekend weight and am now up 1.8 from my low last week.

I'm sorry people are shoulding on you, CCF.  Tell them to eff off.

  • I want a storage couch/ottoman. My mom has a couch where the back cushions flip up and she can store blankets in them. I so want that.

I might get my hair trimmed today. It really needs it, the ends are looking bad.

Someone remind me to call the dentist before I leave work today. H has been bugging me to do it for him because apparently his fingers don't work when it comes to dialing the doctor.
  • Pssht, CCF. Skip the roommates. If you get lonely, you always have us ;)

Random- I wasn't super hungry for lunch, so I just got some trail mix.  It has HUGE flakes of coconut in it, and now I'm disgusted. So now I'm hunry.

  • Not a fan of coconut, Steph?

Sesh - What time do you leave work?  I am doing nothing (almost literally) all day.

  • CCF, I agree with Steph...because you have us when you want us, and when you don't want us, all you have to do is close the browser...so much easier than roommates. But we don't share rent, that's a downside.

    Haha I know.. That's what I'm saying.

Although it would be nice to have at least ONE IRL friend around to have girls nights with. I think that's what I would be looking forward to the most.

I miss you guys a lot though. It's been hard the last few weeks.

Koda, I'm so insanely excited for Saturday.. But I totally fucked up, and didn't make an appointment at DB. Do we HAVE to? You don't need one at the other places we were going to check out..
  • NS, I leave around 4:30. I'm hoping I remember to call during my break at 3:30.

CCF, I think there are benefits to both. But, if you think you would be better alone, then do what you think is best. I'm glad your boss is willing to work with you though.
  • Yay, for couches, jobs and naps Night! And I know how you feel, there are days I wish I could sleep at my desk.

Glad your tummy is better Anna. I myself took two ibuprofen, and ate lunch. I still have a bit of a headache but I feel better. I tried something new to dip my apple in today, chocolate almond butter, yummy.

CCF- sorry! I wont give anymore advice. But if you need to talk you know where I am! <3

I have to figure out what to eat for dinner. Maybe salad or Subway?

Ohh KD, it's so not any of you guys.. It's my dad/mom/grandparents/boss/friends/mailman.. It's a little frustrating..

Definitely Subway, kd. Tuna with lettuce and black olives on toasted wheat bread.

Also, I typed "lovies" at first for olives and when I reread it I couldn't figure out what I had meant to say because I was imagining what a lovie is and why it goes on a sandwich.

ETA--Eastern time. It's 2 pm here right now.

I know what you mean, I think everyone just cares and wants whats best. But sometimes it's just better to have quiet.

I'm sad this afternoon.  Derek called before I went to lunch with what may end up being devastating news.  Our friends son who's terminal with Leukemia spiked a fever on Friday.  Now it's turned into sevre abdominal pain.  This may be it and it makes me want to cry.  I'm having a hard time focusing on work.  I can't even imagine what they're going through.  I'm so glad I kissed the little boy on Saturday and told him I loved him.  And, now I'm crying.

Subway is the devil.  Damn you Subway taunting me with goodness that isn't remotely on the Subway diet.  I ate those 900 calories and loved it!  Steak, cheese, and chipotle on a Monterey cheddar footlong with a macadamia cookie on the side.

I used to get tuna, but then I looked up the calories before I even added anything and whoa! So I do sweet onion teriyaki on wheat with spinach and black olives.
