Oh my dear. That was wonderful. It makes me think first of what purpose my Maggie served for me, and that there could be hope for Max yet (I can see him doing all of the puppy training things, but for fun and his own personal gain).

Maggie's strength was that she was there when I needed someone to be there, desperately, and I needed to take the focus away from myself. She was a cuddler, and slept behind my knees under the cover for 11 years.

Max's strength so far is that he's helped us move on, for the most part. I still cry on the 27th, and get choked up when I think about her, but then he'll do something idiotic, like bring down my clean underwear. Now, if he'd bring me ALL my clothes, we could work on something!
