***Nebb***

Hey,

So FI wants to know about DHs comic career...famous comic or his own creation? Does he have a website?

Re: ***Nebb***

  • oh, wait, now I have questions...does he draw or write? both?
  • :) well the one he has published is written by a guy, adam did all of the drawing, inking and colouring himself. If you go to my FB - my husbands website is www.hisname.com. He has only had the 1 published comic in his lifetime so far, but hes working on a number of pitches that are being taken to the NYCC.
  • okay, we were just on his website for a while...TOO cool!  FI wants to know if the comic work is his full time work or if he does something else on the side.

I want you to know that I love his prints that he has for sale...might need one in the future...I really like the first one of the cityscape...
  • Until he starts getting paid a page rate as opposed to back end like he did for the comic he did (which pays out 2 months after profits are in) there is no way. He made just over 1300 for one issue, 8 months after the day he started. Its just not feasible for him to just do comics right now unfortunately.
  • Yeah, we figured it couldn't possibly be that easy...FI said that if he were just doing comics that would make you the most understanding and supportive wife ever. I am sure you still are!
  • its his thing, he has ALWAYS wanted to do comics and its taken him a long time to get to this point and hes finally being noticed. Even when he was working on it, he would work his day job, come home and eat dinner, and then hole up in his office working until 11 or 12 at night. I NEVER saw him, so it was trying but its his dream so I am better off supporting it than resisting against it. All of his comic buddies think im awesome for how much I support it, because apparently thats not typical.
  • yeah, for sure...I am sure lots of women would think its a waste of time...that's awesome that you support him...imagine if he ends up being famous one day!?!?! And they make his books into movies!?!?!?...
  • :) thanks. One of the ones he is sort of working on right now has already been looked at briefly at the SDCC and movies were discussed then, so theyre getting the real pitch ready for NYCC. Quite a few big names in comics have actually commented how much they like adams work, so its exciting to see what would happen.
  • Well when he is famous I will be able to say that I know his wife (at least virtually)...:)
  • Well we better have met by then!
