Florida vs. USF

I'm so torn...I don't know who to root for. We are a Gator family through and through...yet my little brother just started college at USF. These are confusing times, I tell you.

This is the extend of my Saturday. I really need a more active life. Anyone else watching the game?

Nope. but we'll be watching LSU later. If FSU is playing, FI is missing it. I love football!

ETA: FSU doesn't play until 2pm CST. He's making me tape it.

My H considered going to FSU. I told him it's a good thing he didn't, otherwise we could never be together. My family would make him sleep out on the porch when we come to visit. Someone gave him an FSU coozie once, without my knowledge, and my little brother found it in our garage. This led to a wrestling match between him and H because my brother has to challenge anyone who even considers being an FSU fan.

My H couldn't care less about most football, so he's had to learn to love the Gators.

FI used to not follow football, until there was me! I'm a huge LSU fan because that's our state team, and my little sister goes there, and I love football in general. FI went to FSU for their computer science program. My stepdad always rags him about it, but bought him an FSU hat for Christmas.. along with an LSU shirt. They bond with a mutual goal of beating the crap out of Florida. Sorry!

Ha, yeah my family would never do that, buy an FSU gift for anyone. They'd buy a Gator item instead as a gag gift.

My dad and aunt went to UF, while my uncle went to FSU. So now every year during the big game they (dad, uncle, aunt, and little bro) text back and forth and make fun of each other. Last year, or the year before (can't remember the exact game), FSU was getting their butts whipped and my uncle turned off his phone and refused to play anymore. He's not a very good sport.

H will watch the Jags every now and then, but they're not very good so it's usually a given we'll lose. The only time he really gets into a game is when with my family, since they are insane on game day.

Luckily FI is working today, so football fanaticism won't commence until later today.  It's a relatively peaceful day of Knotting and cleaning so far.  Later, he'll be watchig and or yelling at the tv.

That's why I'm glad H isn't a big football guy. I hate the yelling and screaming at the TV. I grew up with that.

I'm super boring at games. I just sit in my seat and watch while everyone aorund me goes nuts. I get excited, I just don't show it like that.

Here, watching college football... except instead of Florida, we're watching the Gophers get trounced by South Dakota.  WTF?  Yes, our beloved (sarcasm) Big 10 college football team is losing to... SD.

I don't get football, much to the disgrace of FI and my friends.  We go over my good friend's house and she, her BF and my FI are all yelling and carrying on.  I'm in the corner, reading or doing lesson plans.

That's usually me. We went to a superbowl party a couple years ago and I was reading a book while everyone one else was screaming and carrying on. I don't follow pro, so the teams and game meant nothing to me. they couldn't believe I wasn't watching the game and one went so far as to grab the book out of my hands, but H (FI at the time) yelled at him to leave me alone.

I dont follow college. I do LOVE my patriots though. Living in florida now I will watch but not care. Although I am a waitress at a sports bar on the weekend and I made TONS of money for the USF/UF game.. So Im happy either way and thats why I still work weekend:)
