Recipe help?

I'm getting ready to make fudge, but I have limited ingredients and don't want to go to the store in this weather.
My question is this: I need 2/3 cups of evaporated milk. I have 5 oz worth. Can I use regular 1% milk to bring it up to the 2/3 cup? Or will that be bad for my fudge?

No! That won't work being that evaporated milk is a lot thicker and fudge is very temperamental... Even cream usually makes it grainier than evaporated milk...

What about using nonfat dry milk with less water?

Yeah, I wouldn't try adding regular milk.  I tried it once in a pinch and it turned out bad.

Never thought about the powdered milk...
