Good Afternoon all you beautiful ladies!! I am about to reserve a photographer from Azel Texas name Cory Scoggins his companies name is BellaFoto. Can anyone if they know/heard any bad/good reviews for him..Thanks for all you help!!

Have you tried looking and seeing if he has any reviews on Wedding Wire?  I have not heard of him.

I have heard at them and I think their work is decent.

Wow they have some great rates... but that would make me skeptial probably.  I'd definitely check Wedding Wire. This is my biggest challenge, I have NO idea how to pick a photographer.   Obviously the great ones are great, and normally high priced....but I can't tell the difference among the mid-ranged ones other than their style.   I have no idea what makes a great photographer.

Tiffany, it helps when you contact the photographer, ask them to send you a link to a complete wedding's coverage (all the photos, not just the highlights) It was hard for me to distinguish from just looking at photographer's websites, but once I saw the complete coverage, you could tell which photographers "got lucky" with their good shots and which ones were consistently artistic, focused, caught light well, etc.

Thanks, I knew I should see a full wedding when I meet with them, but I didn't even think about asking to see a complete wedding online.   Maybe I can narrow it down some that way.

I haven't been on here much lately since my wedding becuase I've been SO busy, but I still stalk. Anyway Cory did my wedding and I have to say everything went perfect on my wedding and I was so excited to see pictures and I was VERY disapointed. He is very new to photography, obviously. There are NO good pictures of my husband and I from our wedding. NONE! I gave him a HUGE list of must have pictures and I really got none of them. I don't even have a picture of my mom and I together on my wedding day, and there were a couple of must have pictures on the list with my mom and I. He is extremely well priced, but I wish I would have taken advice from the knotties and gone with somebody a little more experienced. I'm not saying you can't get a good photographer for cheap, but in my opinon Corey needs some more experience under his belt. There are some good pictures of my dad and I and of Kevin, but not really any of me.

I am Corey Scoggins, the photographer for Bethany's wedding that occurred in the summer of 2009.  I offer you my sincerest apologies where I missed shots you had requested.  Though it will hardly make up for it, I am in the process of reworking your file to make the ones we did get that much better for you, and will be coming up with some sort of package to make up for my shortcoming.  You should hear from me in the coming weeks :-)
