Snarky Brides

*Rhodesign*

Hi, stupid question here. Is your sn like "Rho Design," or "Rhode Sign?" For some reason, this juuuust struck me that I might be getting it wrong. I've been reading it the first way. Also, "Rhode Sign" is kinda clever. ;)

Please pardon the randomness, I'm having a slow day.

Re: *Rhodesign*

  • Oh I'd like to know this too!  I always read it as "Rho Design" but "Rhode Sign" is really funny!

  • Hey Beatles,
Is your name supposed to be "beat lesgirl" or "beatles girl"? :P

Ahh I always read it as "Rhode design" I guess I combine the two.
  • Haha Roxy! It's actually "beatless girl," cause I haz no rhythm. ;)

If it turns out to be rhode sign, it will forever change the way I read her name. Like with Opal Sky. Funny how it changes in my head like I'm reading it out loud!

    WHAAAAAAT!

Yeah that changes how I read opal's name.  Maybe I'm better off not knowing!

  • Yea Opalsky's broke my heart. I loved to pretend it was some polish name.
  • hahaha! too funny!
It is Rho Design--combination of my first name and my other job. People irl call me rho AND rhodae (rho-DAY), so feel free to use either. =)

It also took me forever to figure out opal sky. I was forever pronouncing it oh-PAL-ski, like a Polish last name or something! =P

amaNDA (en-duh). It was my nickname in HS since I had no other nicknames, my friend made it up.
  • Haha, AATB that was pretty much my reaction too! I'm trying to think of some other ones now that changed how I read things. Anyone else have any?

I used to think Alix was Alixza Firis, not sure why. I'm still not sure how to read playtnteppg (sp?). Or Jasmineh! Is it Jasmine H or Jasmin-eh, as though she were Canadian? I do the latter for Jas.

  • Yay, I was right about you Rho! Thanks for clearing it up. :) I also, until just now, thought you were from Rhode Island. Yeah, like I said... slow.

I always read it as platypus, not going to lie.
  • I used to have a confusing one until Identity Change '10. Unless people are reading it as Na-tes-girl.
  • I'm curious how you all read "nda"? Unless you just skipped that completely and called me "Roxy"

I thought it seemed easy--n pasquale?

oh man I just realized it's 5 pm and I haven't done jack today except buy lady gaga tickets and 2 hrs of freelance. the rest has been on theknot or fb. huh.

  • Yeah, Rho!  But no one knew what to call me.  Woo for Lady Gaga.

    I skip it, Roxy.

I just read Play's as Play-Tent-Peg.  And then I imagine the ways one could play with an actual tent peg.

I read it as quite literally, N D A. I thought it was an abbreviation for something.
  • I usually go with roxy since everyone else does, but when I read it in my head I say each letter N-D-A-Roxybabe. It almost sounds like a bank.
"NDA Roxybae. Serving all of your money needs since 1975" or something. =)
Celles- how do you pronounce your screen name? what does it mean?
    Posted by reddy123
"Sells."

It's a variation on a nickname my best friend gave me back in middle school.  My real name is Michelle; she calls me "Celle."  I added the S because "Celle" was taken.
