I read a similar story a couple of weeks ago.  The photographer suggested they pose with rifles for their wedding pictures, but one of the rifles was loaded.  It went off and ended up killing the photographer.

The article said --

"Turks are notorious for breaking out into gunshots to celebrate weddings and sports victories, a practice that has caused many deaths and which authorities have so far failed to curb."

You'd think people would realise that this isn't a good idea

Do you think if he'd shot the bride's father or family members that she would automatically divorce him? I think I'd have to.

Either way, I can't believe this is a tradtion. It's just asking for trouble.

What is with all the gun stuff at weddings lately?  So sad, I think some of these people should re-think their traditions involving weapons.

Oh for f@ck's sake, why would a celebration of love have anything to do with automatic weapons?  I'm having a hard time feeling sorry for the guy, accident or not.  Shooting a loaded automatic weapon, unless you're in a war and trained to use it properly, is undoubtedly going to end badly, and he had to know it was a possibility since it's hapened before.  It's called learning from the mistakes of others.  Duh.

i hate when people unload ak-47s at weddings. i think miss manners has mentioned this being, oh... tacky or something. maybe it was dangerous?

I think I would also have to question the judgement of a photographer who thought that posing with rifles at a wedding would be a wonderful touch for their album.
