(not so) Good Morning...

I have pink eye also known as conjunctivitis).  Not a big deal except for the fact that I knew I wasn't supposed to go to work today because I am contagious for 24 hours but it is a pain in the ass to be away so I decided to risk it and hope that after 12 hours of drops I looked better. Well, as it turns out, this is not the case. I woke up this morning and it is fairly clear that I have pink eye and pretty much the first person to see me at work will be able to see that and I will get sent home. SO, I just called the system to find me a supply teacher and now I have to go in and figure out what the hell my kids are going to do all day.

The upside is that when I come home I can hang out here. Bleh.

aww. That sucks about the pink eye... do you know how you got it? on the plus side, at least it's not in two weeks for the wedding! Hope your day gets better.

That sucks, number.  Kids carry diseases like nothing else.  I've never been so sick, or caught so many bugs, as I have since becoming a teacher.

I'm so glad it's Friday and it's definitely looking up from yesterday.  My "stepfather" (MOm's bf that she's been with for years) is out of the hospital and looking much better.  We're still not sure what the issue is and he has a catheter in, which sucks, but he's feeling a lot better.

I had a great time meeting some NJ Knotties last night for a book club we started.  I was so nervous (who ese gets nervous befre a G2G?), but we had a ton to talk about besides the book and the time flew by.

And, of course, it's Friday!  I'm planning on a quiet weeked with FI, catching up on school/work and hopefully having at least one date night.

Nebb...last night I changed my FB status to "I want cake balls" and a FB friend messaged me to ask if it was my nickname for FI...made me giggle...oh and the pic looks awesome...you should start a side business, no joke, I would buy your balls.

Sorry about your pink-eye Number. It sucks so bad. I had it once and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

I'm off to see my mom tonight. I also get to see my grandparents, then my dad and brother tomorrow when we go visit him at school. I'm super excited, I feel like I haven't seen any of them in forever. H con't come though, so he gets Whisky duty tonight, which means lots of cuddling with a needy cat who is always demending more food. I can resist the charm, but I have a feeling I will come home tomorrow to an extremely overfed Whisky.
