My day, how about yours?

I have a fever of over 100 but still managed to work a 14 hour day today at work today. At the end of the day our last case was a bleeder and I had to clean up uber amounts of blood which was gross and my back is officially effed up  because of my damn Ju Jistu class last night (really because im so competitive and I messed up). And I cant seem to get in the sleepy mode even though I am incredibly tired because I only got 4 hours of sleep last night because of my back.

Im not sure if I can get anymore cheese with that whine because I have just defined a pity party lol. Everything aside, life is beautiful.

How was your day? What did you do? Any fun facts or randomness?

Re: My day, how about yours?

  • It's 3:30 pm and I've been home sick today. I spent four hours sleeping earlier and now I'm over napping but think I probably need to do some more of it in order to get over whatever this cold/flu thing is.
  • I'm so tired but I can't bring myself to get up.
Work was lame but aftwards we went to cheesecake factory to celebrate my nieces 3rd b-day. She is so funny and adorable. She said "why is it my birthday?"
  • I started my new nannying job today and I love it.  Everything else sucked about today though.
  • Little kid questions are so funny.

  • I am stressing a lot about things.  Today was better - last Friday I published a "woe is me" psycho rant in Moms and Maids and have since calmed down but I'm getting overwhelmed with wedding crap again.

Work is really stressful this week because our news director is on vacation so we're pulling double duty.

And, I have a wedding to go to this weekend - Ben's cousin - I haven't met any of his extended family yet so I want to make a good impression, I have nothing to wear, and after a couple of hours of searching today, I am discouraged.

But I did have chicken tortilla soup for lunch.  That was nice.

  • Oh my god Cheesecake Factory... I dont even want to talk about it.
  • AATB- Sounds like this is a perfect opportunity to buy a new outfit! Kill 2 birds with 1 stone, some shopping therapy to calm you down and de-stress and you get a brand new outfit to wear. Im sure you could wear a zebra print moo-moo and mis-matching shoes and still make the greatest impression ever.

  • Haha zebra print mumu.  That's an excellent idea... I think I'll frizz out my hair and wear electric blue eyeshadow.

Only if your fingernails are painted neon yellow/green with the bright pink lipstick.

Im laughing at myself because I am so tired that I spelt mu-mu [moo-moo] HAH!

EDIT: And you must have you phone go off (on loud volume) with some gangsta rap song.

  • You had to work with a fever? That sucks. The highest I ever had was 106.6, and it certainly got me out of school. And into the ER.
  • Yah, I didn't know I had a fever until the end of the day when I had one of the nurses take my temperature. I haven't been feeling good for a couple days and I felt a little warm and sure enough I had a fever.

Omg 106! That is scary, the trip to the ER was needed! The highest I had was 104 and I thought I was going to explode, I cant imagine 106

  • I was only 7, I barely remember it. I remember sitting in kindergarden crying, then gong to the nurse and having her say, "oh my god!" when she took my temp. I also remember being put in a cold bath, then getting a shot in my butt at the ER.

I had really bad pneumonia and it got worse because initially my doc said it was just a cold (good doc, huh?). I've had pneumonia like 8 or 9 times, but that one and another time in 10th grade were the worst.
