The caterer finally got back to my with the quote. She said "No problem, we can work within your budget." I get the quote - oh, its DOUBLE what I said my max budget was! She told my that I was basically looking for the impossible and this was the best I would get. I am not asking for anything I think is unreasonable. I said $40-45 per person for food and alcohol. (Open basic bar and food was passed hors' duerves only - its a later evening event) Is this unreasonable to think I can stay at this budget? Unfortunately, the venue we LOVE has a set caterer's list and one is italian (I'm not a fan) and the other is more of a generalized caterer - this is the one I got the quote from. And the venue itself is insanely cheap, not like we are looking at the Ritz and asking for Motel 6 rates. Anyway, back to square one!!! Grrrrrr.........
