storms anyone?

It's storming like crazy here! It's been this way all day, and it's my first time being in weather like this. The thunder is shaking the house! Its crazy! But I kind of love it, as long as I can stay inside.

Anyone else getting weather like this?
Is anyone even here anymore?

Re: storms anyone?

  • We got some rain last night, but mostly it's just been hot and humid (well humid by my PHX standards. lol).

  • Oh, and btw, I love thunderstorms, too! I feel like we keep getting teased with them here, but it doens't actually happen.

  • We had a couple storms out here in Phoenix, and I loved it! Wish they'd come back...
  • Im in Illinois. Im from California, so this weather is so strange! haha

  • I love weather like that, but it will be a few months yet before it's warm enough for storms here.
  • I didnt know it stormed like this durring summer! Haha.
At home, it only rains in winter months, and hardly ever even then!

  • I wish it would storm here...yesterday it got up to 106 outside.  :P  It's miserable outside.
  • OP just wait for a good hard blizzard in the winter that gets thundersnow. Yes.. it's real. Google it. Thunder & lightning with a blizzard. It's awesome. I've seen it maybe twice here in MI, but it definitely happens.
  • ooh I love the thundersnow!

We had some nasty storms this weekend.  The weather dropped from about 95 to 65 in less than an hour, and the sky was that eerie greenish color.

Thankfully, there was no severe damage... even with a few touchdowns and funnel clouds in the metro.  I LOVE the smell of rain and thunder and lightning, so I was happy.
  • We've had several evenings of nasty, nasty storms, including last night. Saturday's storms knocked out power to a good bit of the larger city. J and I slept through that one but earlier in the evening, the dog was acting a fool.

Had a nasty one yesterday, some hail in places, damaging winds, etc. The power was flickering here at work when I got here.

I love you Missy. Even though you are not smart enough to take online quizzes to find out really important information. ~cew
  • here. we had some righteous storming yesterday, with rain/thunderstorms predicted all week. it's been raining all month though. last week was the only week this July that was sunny.

  • I love storms, I just hate my house during storms. We lose power every time it sprinkles, so when it's really storming outside the transformer blows and all. Our house really sucks sometimes.
  • It's soooo humid!!!  According to the hydrometer (measure for humidity) it's 65%!!

  • Holy crow yes. I'm in Iowa, and on Saturday night we had 80 mph winds! Hail, thunder, lighting, everything!!! We didn't have power for almost 12 hrs, but we were fairly lucky. We only lost one tree, but it was in our pasture. Now they say  it's going to rain everyday until Thursday :(.
