Re: GOOD MORNING MY GIRLS!

  • Morning.  I couldn't sleep last night.  I'm working myself up to having a major conversation with my boss today about a jerkface coworker.

And betrothed, I'm disgusted with most of the comments that you have posted. I don't think I've ever read such judgmental comments in my life. I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I genuinely feel awful for your children or your future children, and I think it would be irresponsible of YOU not to invest in their future therapy sessions starting now. Because trust me when I tell you honey, they're gonna need it. ~jcaruncho2010

  • Hi! I love you!

I'm sorry about your jerkfacce coworker, B. Can I tell you that jerkface has been my favorite word for the last couple of weeks?

I had the most hellacious day yesterday. I really hope today is better.
  • Ricks--I'm so glad I have someone to commiserate my long commute with!!

I haven't had a minute to myself since I started this job :(

    Morning ladies!!

  • Rach! So, how is the job going?
  • Good luck on your boss talk, Betrothed.

I'm kind of sad today, in a happy way. My little brother is being moved off to college in about an hour. My mom and dad are driving him over, getting him set up, then heading home so I'm expecting a very tearful phone call around 3 or 4. I was talking to my mom last night and she was already crying (it's her last kid to leave the nest, so she's dreading coming home to an empty house). He's not going that far, about 3 hours or so, but I'm still going to miss him.
  • Hi Cew!!! The jobs going well...I think. It's a lot of information to know to do the job, so it's going to be a while before I feel like I know what I'm doing.

  • Morning! I hope you have a great day, too! I'm off to bed, good night!
  • I am calling in today. We are losing the fight with the cat. The insulin, IV fluids, and potassium are not helping pull her back and I think it is time to put her down. She is 15 and I think we are basically just tormenting her at this point. H is completely upset, he is the one who had her all these years so today I am the support crew.
  • Good morning everyone! Sorry for the busy and hellacious days Frown

  • Oh Lenore, I am so sorry...that really sucks. And B, sorry about the jerk at work. And Cew, I hope today is better than yesterday.

FI invited his old boss and his wife over for dinner, other than that and a trip to the gym, not much on tap today...
  • Aw, I'm so sorry Lenore. That can't be easy. It's a hard decision to make for sure. I'll be thinking about you today.

My power surged at about 6:50 this morning, forcing me to wake up and reset my alarm so I could then go back to sleep for 20 minutes and not end up sleeping in, so I didnt really end up falling asleep completely and I feel cheated.

I also woke up with the most ungodly cramps of my life this morning. Im seriously considering trying to go home early if the midol ive ingested doesnt do something to fix me. I feel like im crippled.
  • Thanks. Seems like we all need some better days around here!
  • Aw, I'm sorry Lenore.

Rach, I'm excited about your new job!  Sorry about the commute, though.  Are you and Rich able to carpool?
  • Aw Lenore, I'm so sorry to hear that.  B, good luck with your talk.  Long commute people, that sucks.  My H drives 2 hours each way every day, and the only thing that keeps him from killing people on the road are audiobooks.

Nebb, I too, have hellacious cramps (good word cew, I hope your day is better too).  I feel like my ute is trying to escape.  Tonight workout will not be fun.

It looks like Jamiaca is offically off now.  My H's boss is, however, reimbursing us any money we lose out on canceling, and giving us money for another tip in, like February.  He's insisting that my H be there the week we were going to be away, so, he gets to pay.  H is upset, not because we're not going on the trip, but because this pushes TTC back a few months.  Silly boy.

  • awww Lenore, I'm so sorry to hear that.  I'm sure this is going to be a hard day for you.  I'll be thinking about you :)

I think today is going to fly by for me, I have tons to do with work, and screwing around.  One of my very best friends called me this morning to say that she's getting married in 4 weeks and would like me to help throw it all together.  I'm so stinking excited I almost turned around and went home to get started.  It's going to be a low key party, but I LOVE planning these things.  Apparently I'm also the cook for the party, so that makes me happy too...now I have to get a menu together.

  • I said "next year" which H took to mean January 1, but when this whole trip debacle went down I said that I wanted to get in an AI trip first, so, after than.  I think I'm going to go off the BC soon though, and we'll be charting TTA.

  • Morning!

Sorry about the cat, Lenore. :(

Today is another passive-agressive day at the office.  I can't believe the way some of my coworkers act, seriously.  I'm the youngest here (by about 20 years), yet I feel like  I'm in a jr high. FFS
  • aw lenore- I am so so sorry! we lost our cat after 16 years a few months back. Its great there are all these treatments.. but sometimes you are right- it feels worse forcing them to hang on.

everyone else- it seems like we are all having a crappy start to the day. My cough/chest cold thing had me up all night. I am now positive its not allergies and I really caught something on the plane ride home... too bad I cant miss any more work to see a doc :-/

  • Poor H is suffering again from that kind of heartbroken reality deficit it is so easy to get into with the animals we love. We are taking her to the vet in an hour and I have no doubt what he will say at this point. You all are so kind.

Again, I am sorry to hear of so much suckage for today! B-I have been where you are with a coworker and it truly sucks. One such situation damn near inspired me to leave my job a few years ago, but it was resolved finally with my boss' boss. The boss conversation I had was not successful but her boss stepped in (unprompted by me) and canned the idiot-TYG! Hope your situation goes well.

Cancelled/postponed vacations also suck Raynes, at least you get your money back. Sounds like your H has some job security of he is so needed!

Who among us could not feel for you, Nebb. I hope for early meno myself but my genes mitigate against it.

I feel your pain.  I swear the next time I hold a meeting I'm starting it with "Alright, since you all want to act like high schoolers, turn off your phones and place them in front of me for the duration of this meeting."  I'm so sick of my coworkers texting while I'm trying to get information out of them.

That's my biggest pet peeve.  My supervisor, who leads some of our meetings, will always be texting.  He never turns off the sound on his phone, either.  I've gone and pulled him from meetings before to turn it off.  He'll leave it in his office and it will ring, on high volume, for like 10 minutes straight (it's usually his kids calling over and over again.  How do I know this? Because one of the ring tones is his daughter going "HI DADDY! I"M CALLING YOU!")

[QUOTE]Ditto, its a little early, but if that's the only time that works, do it.  I did mine pretty early -- 4 weeks I think b/c summer is busy and that was the only weekend it worked and someone else didn't already have a baby shower or anniversy or something else going on...although I few still bailed.

  • Morning all. Mine started off by driving by a horrific wreck yesterday afternoon. And I mean horrific. I was there 20 minutes or less after it happened, and I was lucky to get through. It was about 1/2 a mile from my house. One fatality - I knew that before I ever saw the news story, based on what I saw there (white sheet held up).
I've been in a funky/ kind of foul mood ever since. Aaannd - everybody in my family thinks I "look frail" because of the way I carry myself. Well duh. My leg's in a brace, and I had head exhaustion.

Lenore, sorry about your cat. I had to make that decision for my dog in December before she got sicker than she was. I knew she was dying. She made it through Christmas, and that was all I wanted.
