Snarky Brides

Songs that can be heard over and over again without getting bored?

Are there any songs that you listen to over and over again, without getting bored?

For example, I like classical music amongst other things, and I can listen to Beethoven - Moonlight Sonata over and over again :)  It just gets better and better :)

Right now, I'm able to listen to an artist called Wong Wing Tsan - album - Serene Hill - it's just melodious :)

What are your listens?

Re: Songs that can be heard over and over again without getting bored?

  • I can listen to anything by Ben Folds, Adam Green, Ben Kweller or Feist about 3289859 times.

  • Nope, I have a very short attention span when it comes to music.  I usually get halfway through a song and want to change it.  The only reason I listen to entire songs is because I know if I don't I'll have the song stuck in my head forever.

And betrothed, I'm disgusted with most of the comments that you have posted. I don't think I've ever read such judgmental comments in my life. I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I genuinely feel awful for your children or your future children, and I think it would be irresponsible of YOU not to invest in their future therapy sessions starting now. Because trust me when I tell you honey, they're gonna need it. ~jcaruncho2010

Not really a song necessarily, but it never gets old for me.  And terribly catchy.

This is me. Even if I love a song, if I listen to it too much, it starts to suck. The only song that I can think of that hasn't sucked yet is Calico Skies by Paul McCartney. I love that fucking song so much. It's the song that I walked out to at the wedding and it makes me tear up when I listen to it.
  • Any of the season albums by George Winston.

    Most songs by Nickel Creek.

I brought back some random DVD from an artist I saw at a free concert in Australia with me in 2007. In 2009, I found a player I could hack to play the Aussie format and found out the disk is freaking awesome and I definitely play it over and over. It's a world beat/didj/trance thing. It works for me.

I play some Bollywood and other Indian movies over and over again, just to listen to some of the music, as I haven't been able to find the soundtracks.

  • I'm obsessed with a site called Black Cab Sessions and I tend to watch those videos on a loop for weeks. Right now it is the Marques Toliver video, but in the past it has been Holly Miranda, VV Brown, Laurel Collective, and more. I usually just like them in the cab and acoustic though and when I check out their recorded stuff I'm disappointed.
Regular music: Gorrilaz, Lykke Li, and there is this one song called True Affection by the Blow that has been played out by me, it's my number one played on itunes.

  • Thanks, MIAF.  I will have that in my head all day now :).

I go through different periods with music--sometimes all I want is Nirvana, then I want something else.  It's weird.  But I can always listen to Lily Allen, Eve 6, Foo Fighters, and "Jessie's Girl".  I love that damn song, but we change it to "Nathan's girl."
