Please shock me with something (not the shocker though, I could do without that, thank you).

Re: dudes...

  • Funny you should ask, my husband told me there is a hilarious video on Yahoo's front page that we would be interested in.  Let me see if I can find it.
  • I'm looking at some really exciting... INSURANCE POLICIES! Ooooooo!

    Seriously, I got nothin'.

  • ummm, let's see.....

Mildly entertaining story from my trip to the grocery store next to my salon this morning.

I was in line to check out and there was an Amish gentleman in front of me buying 12 jars or Lemon Curd with a check.  I just thought that was odd. I figured that would be something that they make themselves, and I wasn't aware that they banked.

Perhaps, though, I am just Amish ignorant.
Which did you like better? "Jedi" or "The Empire Strikes Back"? "Empire". Blasphemy. "Empire" had the better ending. I mean, Luke gets his hand cut off, finds out Vader's his father, Han gets frozen and taken away by Boba Fett. It ends on such a down note. I mean, that's what life is, a series of down endings. All "Jedi" had was a bunch of Muppets.
  • I got nothing... sorry.

I was really excited when reading your line about the job, until I got to the part about next week. That sucks Nebb... hoping and praying things work in your favor with your job situation.

So sorry to hear that. I'm sure that something good will happen for you.  You seem like a lovely hardworking person, so the universe will turn things around for you soon, I hope.

Depends on what it looks like, IMO. If it is horribly outdated, sure its a nice gesture but I think you will regret it in the end, you know?

I was wondering the same thing.

He was nice and let me pet his horse when I came out of the store though. I wanted to be nosy and ask what it was for, but I chickened out.

  • The guy in the row next to me has banged his desk at least 15 times today. He's trying to get pre-approved for a car loan and he has been slamming sh!t and ranting to someone on the phone all day long. Then he got denied and about put his fist through the desk.

So, imagine a big, sweaty, overweight guy with a bushy beard and dandruff in purple pants and a green shirt ranting and raving at his tiny cubicle. It's quite a sight, I must say. It has kept me awake all day because whenever I'm about to fall asleep he bangs again and scares the crap out of me.

Other than that, I got nothing.

I swear some people are so vapid it hurts. I am dealing with an issue with a jacket that an organization ordered for their customer - the instructions given to them by the customer were wrong and the order ended up wrong in turn and the customer has been a major pain in my ass about it. The guy at the organization told us that if the customer keeps calling (or any of their customers) to tell them they have to speak with him directly. The customer just called and I told her she needed to speak to him and she kept drilling me with questions so I reiterated what I was told and she started yelling at me about what horrible customer service our company has.

    Screw off lady, gfd.

We have a Amish furniture store that we've bought a few pieces from, and he has a business with bills, as well as the men he does business with. So some are more evolved then you might think. A lot of them own their own shops, and construction companies.

And the Mennonite dress and wear their similar to Amish and they are more modernized then Amish.

  • It's actually a simple dress with some lace detailing.  She had short sleeves put on but we will be removing those because my arms are too fat for the sleeves and I'm not into sleeves (or that's what I tell myself because my arms are fat).

  • It was a small victory, but it made me giggle, and that's what's important. :)

Thanks, I feel better informed now. The only experiences that I've ever had was with a settlement near my hometown, and they must have been hardcore, so I was unaware. I like learning stuff.

(sorry if I'm like an excited puppy today, I think the Starbucks Doubleshot Energy + Coffee this morning mixed with the 16 oz SF Redbull this afternoon turned into Crack in my stomach)

He annoys me to no end, so I have no sympathy to his issues. I'm cold like that. Plus he walks around the office barefoot--even the bathroom. That's just nasty.
