Are you actually in the city of Pittsburgh? If so hopefully that will help. Small towns (like mine) clearly have no idea what they're doing. Our town hall is so small when I went to apply for a permit to get our electrical done when we bought the house, I drove right pass it, twice. I hope you don't run into any issues - good luck!

I can picture it now, she went home this afternoon to her husband and was all "Bob, you'll never guess who I spoke to today! A real live LESBIAN! They're coming on Thursday to apply for some same sex uniting learner's permit or something.  What do I wear to meet lesbians? Can I borrow you plaid shirt Bob?"

Thanks K, good lucj to you too. We are in PIttsburgh, but we are going to the neghboring county because our county fee is $80 but the next county is only $45. I don't know how that makes sense but it's about the same distance to each courthouse rom ours.

Hopefully you don't have any problems. Seems like the lady is nice and interested in learning the process.

Totally random story I was reminded of reading your posts:

Somewhere, I have a picture of Amy Ray in a dress. Tie-dyed, but a dress. She's the older sister of a friend of mine. She was at his graduation, and in the background.
It was weird to go to his graduation party and see these people I didn't know sitting there not knowing anyone - I mean, why would you not talk to them? It's Amy Ray! But, I think they thought the party was pretty lame.

I talked to her after a show the next year, and when I said something about Larry, she stopped dead in her tracks, and said, "you KNOW my brother?" I said, uh, yeah - sure do. She said, "I'm sorry" as only older sisters can do. It was hysterical.
