What's happening? I'm getting my hair done this afternoon. And a pedicure. I'm kind of excited about that.

We're at work in trauma mode. A kid at our sister school (the middle school to our high school) died in a bike accident this weekend. He was in grade 6, and his sister is one of my grade 8 students.

Insomnia trumped my morning workout plans again, and I'm getting angry.

I spent last night working on grade 8 math. It was NOT fun. (sorry Anna!)

And ...

I ordered a dress yesterday!

Good morning!

A week of vacation has turned me into the biggest idiot on the planet.  I left my keys in the console of DH's truck.  He left for work  1/2 hour before I did (well, I tried to leave).  No keys to my car = stuck at home.  I had to take a cab to work, and I'll have to get a ride home.  I'm hoping DH can leave early enough that I don't lose my mind.

Les, if I didn't have my keys I'd probably just not go to work. That would be a perfect excuse to work from home.

Not much happening here. Work is boring, as usual. But at least I finished my lesson plans last weekend so I can work on book stuff until Wednesday. I have an event on Saturday and I still need to finish my table stuff.

Not much going on today.  I'm getting my first pedicure ever on Friday.  I hate feet/people touching feet so we will see how that goes.

I'm so sorry to hear about that Jenny. How tragic.

I'm at work now but our servers are down so I'm not getting a whole lot done which is not great considering I have to leave at noon for my re-scheduled root canal. Boo.

I'm with Sesh, no keys=staying home!

Husband is leaving for Chicago today, so I'm all by my lonesome this week, then he returns Friday or Saturday only to leave me again next Tuesday for his annual boat trip with the guys. My intent is to get rid of the dog one day, get a pedi, then dinner with my yoga instructor, then back to my place to open some wine and she'll give me my massage. Husband has his idea of fun, I have mine!

I like that dress a lot Jenny. I'm not sure I'd shorten it though. I'd be afraid the mermaid would turn into more of a ruffle if you shorten at the hem and if you shorten at the waist the mermaid flare might sit at an odd proportion. But I'm no expert.

I'd happily trade my day for either Loopy's or KD's.  Love that dress Jenny but agree with Loopy about shortening it.  Lbarr, enjoy the pedi.  Grab a couple of rag mags and turn the massage chair on and don't think about it.  That sucks about the root canal Achi. 

We had such a quiet weekend and yet I'm still tired.  H was feeling crappy yesterday and skipped his training, I was feeling lazy and had a Charmed marathon while H watched 18000 different football games.  Today is my dad's birthday, he would have been 68 years old.  I'll be stopping to get black cherry ice cream in his honor on my way home.

This sounds like something I would do, but insert Buffy instead,that was last weekend.
I had my pot roast ready early to go into the crock pot, than I did laundry and crafted. I got one of my wreaths finished and I've started on a Christmas tree. H was on the deck with his Ipad watching Football till it started raining. I finally went to bed without him.

I did a pot roast on Saturday KD.  Though if you ask my mom it wasn't technically a pot roast because I cooked it in the slow cooker but whatever - there was beef with gravy, carrots and mashed potatoes so I'll call it whatever I want.

I just started watching How I Met Your Mother on Netflix this weekend. Sounds like pot roast to me Girlie. I have some craft things to do this afternoon for an exchange with my birth month board. I'm going to attempt ribbon Christmas trees. If they fail, I'm screwed.haha.

Morning, ladies. I survived the wisdom teeth removal. They gave me so much Valium I passed out in the middle of it. They also let H go back - I didn't even have to ask, they just told him he could go back - so that made me feel better. And thanks for the tips on having music. That definitely helped calm me down. So far so good with recovery. I've been on a diet of foods I never let myself have like mashed potatoes, milkshakes, ramen. It's pretty awesome lol. I'm at home today and probably tomorrow, and I intend to stay in bed all day long. Ha ha. I need to do more fall crafts. I had H bring all our fall decor down this weekend and I realized I don't have nearly enough stuff.

Girlie- Sounds like Pot Roast to me as well. Atticus is just fine, his normal onery self and his swelling is gone down, thanks to sedatives!

Shay- I took my grapevine wreath tree and added orange lights as well as some garland with leaves and pumpkins on it. I've had a wreath I use for years, but I freshen it up every year. I need to do my snake wreath for husbands Halloween decor!

Yeah, I'm not committed to shortening it or anything, but there was a dress on the knockoff sites that I liked which was a short mermaid, and the bottom was like a ruffle, but not a pouffy one (if that makes sense).

I'm wondering how things are at the middle school today. My dd goes there and FI teaches there, so I'm sure they've both had a tough day.

I need to get halloween-ed up. Apparently the teachers here go all out. I've been warned. Missing my former, crafty self as well. Must put that on the to do list as well.

Glad to hear the dentist went well! Thinking about it is almost always worse than the actual event, and they're usually good about letting you have supportive people nearby. Recoup away!

I'm having trouble finding a bag of snakes Shay. I may have to order some. Who knew I'd have trouble finding them. I have the wreath and the paint. So I'm ready!
