  • LTZ- Love the extensive music library. I'm working on growing mine. I'm officially the loser. It's 9:00ish and I keep dozing off :-)
    Goodnight.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Anyone still loser-ish enough to be awake and knotting right now? : Do you have fibromyalgia? Or know someone with it? I only ask because my mother has it, and I know how much it affects her and everyone around her.

Yes, I just recently found out (for sure) that I had it. I was on a self doctor spree about a year or so ago and I diagnosed myself with it but it was only now that it came up from the "real" doctors. It explains a lot of the problems I have and deal with. Not only the pain but it affects my sleeping the worse (next to the pain).
Sorry to hear your mom has it.

[QUOTE]Well back in March I started a thread and it was completely ignored. But I am usually noticed when I pop in threads. But I still feel bad. O well that's just me. It is pretty exciting but at the same time the sooner class's are over the sooner it will be to have surgery and my nerves are already shot, they're worse now because of this. I'm freaking out on the inside. I never had any type of surgery whatsoever, never even had a broken bone. So I see that I am also posting a lot about this each time I do pop in. So that also makes me not awesome. Just the nerves typing. Thank you for the birthday wishes.

This post makes me want to make a list titled "Things That Make Me Not Awesome" to keep on the fridge. I'll put it next to the list called "Bad Crackers" which I created so I would remember what the worst crackers are.

I'm so sorry to hear that. My mom was diagnosed when I was about 13, and back then no one knew what fibromyalgia was, so she had been dealing with it even before that. Now it seems more commonly known. I hope having the diagnosis helps you find some better relief.

Also, Happy Early Birthday! We're *almost* birthday twins. :) What are you doing to celebrate?

    Herro!

    Happy birthday soon, Play.

I'm here for a little, packing my bag for the wedding I'm in tomorrow.  I'm so excited for this wedding!

When's your birthday? Wow that is amazing it goes back that far, but to know it's gotten this far and more "popular" is somewhat good in hopes they find something to cure it. It's going to be a rough and long journey but if not relief it at least given me answers to why things happen/happened the way they have such as my sleeping patterns, depression, etc.  It is hard because I know one person who has it but I don't talk to her much at all. It's hard because it's hard to explain and then feel that all I am doing is "complaining" when I try to explain it at times. Something I have to work on.

I am going to my best firend's new house she just bought and we are having a party there. Some friends out drinking, playing games, set up beer pong (with water, no one drinks beer). If it's nice or at least not too cold we're going to have it in the back patio, she has a neat bar patio set. I went over to help her set up and clean it up today. I'm excited. I normally don't drink all that much but I have to be med free for my surgery so I'm going to "try" and take advantage of that and possibly drink more then I normally would. Maybe.

    I'm glad I didn't offend.

So, are there other "list-makers" out ther? I am a prodigious list-maker. It's not so bad now, but there was a time that things were really out of control, I had to make lists to get anything done, or to remember anything.

Yeah, there is so much more information out there now, and more awareness too. People seem to handle the "complaining' better when they have some idea of what fibromyalgia actually means.

Sounds like you'll have a good time celebrating your birthday. :)

I make lists all the time. Sometimes when I make lists of things I need to do, I'll include things I've just done, so I have something to check off. I'm probably weird, though.

I make lists for everything. I currently have about 6 different to do lists, but I can't compile them because they are in order of importance and dealing with different things (wedding checklist, school checklist, son's pre-k checklist, around the house checklist, etc).

I probably should still do this, now I just forget about things I have to do. I can't decide if I am happier this way or not.
  • When I worked full time, and during the wedding planning, lists kept me sane. The only list I really keep now is for groceries. It's so much easier to add things to the list as you run out of them, instead of trying to remember right before you go shopping.

It will be way better then last year that is for sure.
And my (guy) best friend is telling me he's going to show up. That could be trouble because I've been madly in love with him since 10th grade. We had our fair share of things over the years but we never became a couple. I consider him my best friend as does he. We talk a lot but hardly see each other nowadays. He teaches at our old high school and then coaches for the "rival" school. He's a busy boy. If he shows that will make my night even better. Although either way it will be great because I have my (girl) best friend there hosting the party. We been friends since birth.
Happy early Birthday to you too!I sure hope you get your puppy! That would be awesome. Have fun at dinner and then the bash on Saturday.

  • I totally write down things I've already done to check off so I feel more accomplished sometimes - especially at work.

The funniest part is that I am sort of nerdy when it come to technology...I have a cell phone with tons of apps that I can plan out my whole life on. But nothing feels as good as taking a pen and physically writing something down. I'm stuck between old school and new school in that way.
  • I'm the same way, LTZ. I have lists on my phone and laptop, but also on sticky notes on the fridge and in notebooks.
    Photobucket
  • I use paper and pen for my lists too. Right now, I use the back of all the extra STDs that we still have. I don't know why we ordered so many, but they're pretty and I like making lists on them now.
  • I had a log in Excel of projects I was working on once. I had it organized by level of importance and completion rate. I'm such a nerd that I even programmed the cells to change to certain colors based on the percentage complete. Embarassed But it was pretty!
  • Well Ladies, I'm going to say good night.
    Have a wonderful weekend.
Thank you for the chat az. And Happy Birthday. Got to update us and let us know if you get the puppy, or what you do get if not the puppy.
If your mother gets on the computer at all and would like some information that I have found such as a support group/board. Feel free to PM me.

Thank you all for the well wishes toward surgery, and the happy birthday wishes.
    Good night.

  • Goodnight, Play!

Arwo, you are a much better "green" person than I am. Things like that set off my self diagnosed OCD sensor.

I can't use leftover STD cards for lists! That's not what they're for! That would just be weird! It would "mess" them up. Even though they aren't ging to be used for anything else.

These are the thoughts that go on in my head. Oh man.
